if housing was clustered, if u owned house no. 500 for example, what happens to the excalian who owns house 500 on excal?

Nothing if it works like U.S clusters, there should be a porter in the main cities and places that take you to housing areas for the other server...if you're in Prydwen for example you can then port over to excalibur housing or other clustered zone...

It's a little confusing at first but you do get used to it

Awww.. i activated my DAoC account for the first time in 10 months about 2 minutes before the server crashed So i was never allowed back before the crash

On the good point of view.. if i would loose items.. they would have to roll back to about 1st Feb

Im hanging around Exc mostly.. but i want back on Pryd

Ah, another unlucky one - I had activated the night before myself >.< Tho, it was no crash - it was a shutdown to handle the issues

I'm only a very occasional Prydwenite and even I am appalled by the lack of updates and 'official' news.

I really do feel for people who have their mains on Pryd.

well it has started to be to long for me. Started playing some GW and got in a static pvp grp. Started playing L2 again also and the urge for daoc is getting very slim now when all u can do is login to a lvl22 champ. a day or two is all what is needed for me to not even think about the game anymore.

I agree I'm fastly losing interest now a few days ago was thinking and (sad I know) worrying like mad about plats I may lose I made over last few weeks selling LW's and ML's on merc and cleric if roll back goes to far.
But atm I can't be arsed playing Excal as a /lvl even tho a friend was nice enough to lend me a bit of cash there,I also Don't wanna run in Zergfest thid ruining there community(novelty has worn off).
Right now I'm enjoying ripping and burn a mates music collection,seems better and more relaxing.And that says something......

last time i played freeshard dont need to reinstall.. maybe copy ur daoc folder..

so the database lost its integrity, which is a pretty major thing, so how did it happen?

Ive tried hib excal and alb excal and tbh it can be fun to ding in a /level 20 and go to thid but very boring very fast sadly.

It's nothing even remotely like the server you have played on for the best part of 4 years and love your chars/guild/friends/enemies/community etc.

Oh and before ppl go on even more abot go get a RL etc i think its fair to say that DAoC for the ppl like me who have played for a very long time know all about RL but this game is still a PART of RL. Its something we invest time and money in, we meet ppl (sometimes irl/meets/friends/guildees etc) and form a social community which is an extension of (and often becomes part of) our real lives. This game to me isnt jsut a "pick up/put down/throw away" piece of software.
