A lot of bitter Diablo 2 players who can't accept change and won't accept it, doesn't mean the game is bad.

D2 players that are used to killing monsters with minimal effort, probably getting raped now thus turned to hate.

I finally got my Diablo 3 in the post today.

I put the CD in and it comes up with 'Updating setup files...' but nothing seems to happen and the bar is stuck at 55/60%

Any ideas on how to install this from CD?

Playing it alone the majority of the time and I've just brick walled hard, met 3 mobs you need to kill for a quest so they are unavoidable and one shot my barb despite having 66% damage reduction vs physical and an additional 61% physical reduction from resists... when they said Inferno would be hard they neglected to mention it'd have a bigger impact on melee than ranged.

With gold, is gold at all useful now? Or is it's only use really for Auction House (Should you use it) or just increasing profession items?

So far i've only had to spend gold on my blacksmith, which has become a huge goldsink, but i'm not sure if i should perhaps be saving it for something else.

Speaking if the Auction House, has anyone been able to find anything they need? I've looked for weapons, chests etc and found bugger all when searching, so i honestly think the auction house must be bugged.

I heard it was delayed for a few weeks... That is the ability to trade stuff for real money.

I have just sunk my gold into my smith so far.

One thing to remember though, you keep your craft skills across characters so when you come to play an alt any gold is surplus.
I reckon a micro economy will emerge over the next couple of months, decent gear will cost a decent amount of gold which can then be sold for RL money (when they introduce the RL auction house) I will be hording gold once I have capped crafting on my main.

hahhaha Athene outsmarted Blizzard so they got mad and hot-fixed his tactic :D that's amazing. They didn't even update the tool-tip for quite a few hours after the actual spell nerf... amateurs.

I wouldn't call an exploit "outsmarting" ;)

If it seems too good to be true, it's probably not intended.

lol, his 'tactic'? He uses exploits every single game he plays, was bound to happen at some point.

He should stay away from demon hunters though, i don't want nerfs :(

Also saying "because this obviously overpowered thingy is nerfed, we're out of the game for world first" is quitter talk.

Athene is just a knob.

I remember back in the world first to level 70 in World of Warcraft i think it was, he exploited the shit out of getting to level 70. His smugness was wiped off though when Blizz made him start again and fixed the loophole he used.

Then when he gets banned he starts crying like that Swifty "just because he's an online sensation he deserves to break the rules no normal player would"

It should have been found in all the beta's they did.. bit of a joke that they didn't find it.. and yes the reason he quit with them was because according to him he specced all in damage because he wasn't attackable... so he gets raped by anything as soon as it attacks him...

They have made 4 demon hunters now.. they apparently found something even more overpowered.

It was a game mechanic.. not his fault that Blizzard were blind idiots.. everyone does the same kind of thing.

Ah well, still enjoying the game greatly. I just wish Blizzard had balanced out melee and ranged abit more, as melee you brick wall almost every step of the way through Inferno, as ranged you can just plough through it aslong as you have space to kite.

Yeap, wasn't attackable. Key point there, should've known it's not how it's meant to be.

They can't find everything in beta, that's just how gamedev goes. You'd be amazed how much stuff is in there, especially with this level of customisation.

On the inferno solo thing, not a fail, just a very dedicated player with a lot of time. 100 deaths isn't "a bit tough" :p

Multi-million pound company... that's a pretty huge bug and the bug should have been spotted while they were designing the class even.. BEFORE beta... no doubt about it that Blizzard fucked up..

Athene knew about the chain before the game even came out... so I'm sure quite a few others did too, I wouldn't be surprised if it was reported but not fixed.. but as soon as Blizzard realised that 4 Monks were about to own inferno with 5k HP they raged and hot-fixed it.. pathetic...

And everyone uses stuff to their advantage... doesn't really matter what kind of advantage it gives, if you find a bug which makes you invulnerable you're sure as hell going to use it... especially if you're going for worlds first.

Funny how Blizzard said they expect it to be completed around August... and it actually got completed less than a week after release... fail.. major fail..

That's most likely for casual gamers, they probably knew the sad cunts of the world would complete it inside a week whilst shitting in a bucket and having the caffine pumped straight into their blood stream, but hey you can't cater for both people!

Just completed Act2 normal, fun fight.

Auction House seems a bit better now, i guess people just weren't putting items up initially. Selling my <lvl20 rares for around 10k gold each, but not had many takers which is weird considering how easy gold is to acquire.

Level 24 now though coming into Act3, just need some decent gear now but my barb seems to be holding her own a little bit better now specially in large packs. Earthquake is amazingly OP.

Yeah there's some brilliant deals to be had at the moment if you fancy spending the time looking.

Almost finished Act 1 Nightmare, the game is SO much more fun past Normal. Only boss I died on in Normal was the Act II end boss, in Nightmare I've died a couple of times to rare mobs. Oops. :p

Keitanz? Why you hanging around D3 forums btw? You clearly don't care about the game or its not for you, or whatever, honestly just don't waste your time mate.

Don't think your going to put anyone off the game, or anything.
