Mobs drop orbs of health once you have killed them, these top up your health (you just run into them and it gives you some HP back)

It keeps the action running so you aren't stopping all the time and worrying about how many pots you have. You also have to actually have a brain to kill bosses rather than just spamming the pot button.

I only had a quick go on the beta but I am pretty sure there were pots, but they were on a long re-use timer.

There is potions you just can't mash them like D2 and as Raven said monsters drop health Orbs frequently.
So the potions have like a cool down on them?

And how does the health orbs work? Sorry if I am asking too many questions, I just never really god the chance to play the beta

yea, once you use a potion it has a short cooldown on it (can't remember how long exactly but its long enough so you can't rely on mashing them to survive) as for the Orbs they literally just appear after some monsters die (some classes have an increased chance to spawn the orbs like Baba for example) you just run over the top of the orb to pick it up automatically.

And it sounds a lot better. In some games, like skyrim for example, i enjoy the "stock up on water, food, potions and prepare for a day or two adventure in the wild", but in Diablo style games it's better to keep the need to restock to a minimum.

And as Raven said, no more bigbottlebash for bossfights. Sounds harder, sounds awesome :p

it will be harder yea but not impossible :) if all bosses are like the skeleton king and spawn some form of add there will always be more than enough health orbs around.

And as long as there's stairways, you can always jam the boss in there and bow away :D

Or as we in the industry like to call it; butcher bating.

By we i mean me and by industry i mean my mind.

You can also develop your tactics accordingly :) The boss doesn't special abilities that you have to avoid so just standing there mashing keys will not mean you kill him but end up dead. That particular boss required a fair bit of hit and kite iirc.

yup, i'd imagine bosses on inferno will likely 1-2 shot you with most special abilities aswell :p

I'm kind of torn about that. On one hand i'd like for all my friends and family to ahve the copy as SOON as humanly possible so they too can enjoy it, on the other hand *pulls plug on brothers net cable* Off my queue b*tch!

I thought that might be the case tbh, but they are the team running the largest MMO in the world and the stress test was apparently quite succesful, so here's hoping.
Im sure my daughter is going to be up all night anyway, just because.
