DAOC mod review!!

fh used to be the place you could have some fun when you got bored out of your head in the office, read some fun posts, reply in a humourous way etc, for those who can do that at least at work

however nowadays, its full of crap, never something interesting except for the 15 iq max unemployed dude whos sitting home watching tv and eating pizzas laughing his ass of at grats threads xd

But thats a reflection on what the community is like now in game aswell as on the boards. The community has changed in game (for the worse in most old players eyes). People take RvR far to seriouly now it seems, never get any positive or light harted threads now. The Sheafer's (sp?) and other simular posters dont exist and more.

Impressive. Remind me to roll a necro, get it to rr4 and brag that I am the highest rank necro on italian server and therefor I am active in rvr. Being rr4l9 on glaston this long after the opening can hardly to be considered active in rvr, unless you are total shit at playing and wants a gratsthread every time you break 1k/rp per evening. (And no, not even if you add togheter 4l1 and 4l9 is it even remotely close to be considered as rvr active.)

So what do you consider active in RvR some bitter little Nerd that sits in his room for 9 hours a day farming in 200,000 RP a night. Sure you would get a nice blanced bit of modding from someone like that xD

9 hours? Why would you need that much. And dont get started on how much people play, I am pretty sure I spend less time ingame than you unless you are inactive atm.

No, I am saying that there should be both types of mods, both those that enjoy fg rvr and those that enjoy zerging and keepwarfare and whatever, since that is basicly 2 different communities.

I agree the best would have moderators who is non-biased towards either side, it would be the best solution. The problem is that while the current moderators claim they are not biased, they show time after time that they actually are.

Feel free to quote me where I said that the mods are nazis. I am not saying anyone who runs fg does not enjoy running as an fg, I am saying that does not mean they enjoy fg fights, that is, 1fg fighting 1 other fg, 8 vs 8, without anyone else interfering with the fight. Like you could see in the movie posted by Slayn in the thread that was locked the other day, Synergy (taking this as example as there is a movie that can show what I mean so this guy understands) seems to enjoy running as an fg, but it also shows they dont do it to get fg fights, as they engage an already fighting group. Do you see the difference now?

Tbh i fully understand that modding is a shit job (i do it for my guild website so, to some extent, i can understand em v well) but "we"'d like to have a more relaxed old style FH tbh, that's all we asking for the greater good of the forums emselves also i might add.
It's okay to slap ppl for name calling, but all this overreaction on closing threads even with a remotely idea of whine inside just doesn't cut it imo.
Also the biased persepective towards the "zergy" face of the game is crystal clear on mods, only one representing other side of the fence to some extent is Tilda tbh and i NEVER see him close the only few interesting threads we got lately.

Synergy seems to enjoy running as an fg, but it also shows they dont do it to get fg fights, as they engage an already fighting group.

We run in full groups to fight full groups, as well as enjoy all aspects of RVR, from keep sieges, tower takes, bridge camping, realm defense. We also enjoy 3-way fights, and will happily engage (depending who's driving) hib vs mid fights. We will avoid, whenever possible, joining in on enemy vs alb fights; but we won't kick ourselves over accidents. Shit happens, it's a game.

We've been around for several years, we're still the most active Alb guild, have a regular playerbase. Mostly though, we run in full groups to have fun, which is what this game is about, not petty whining on forums when someone other than yourself hits an enemy, accidentally or not, in a massive multiplayer online role playing game.

The only threads I see being closed are the oneliner's.

I hate this whole OMFG!!!11!!11one do ADDERS! imo i love jumping in with a fg on fg mids and hibs fighting, i get it often enough so why shouldnt i?

I love siege fights... i love fighting hibs in mid land knowing that a fg of mids can steam roll at any time

I welcome anyone to add in my fights if i am 1-1 with a mid/hib, feel free!
