Interesting.

I was trying to set up my Half-Life CounterStrike installation with all the latest stuff last night (my mates think it looks cool :/ ). Is the HL 10041006.exe update supposed to be 11 meg or do I have some 'leaked' version ? Or, was this 'leaked version' just a nasty rumour spread around by nobheads ?

s'ok, it worked fine. Brand new install of HL since I've not played it in aaaaaaaaaages. Also defaulted to gl_max_size "512" interestingly enough. I suck at CS. Made me remember why I don't play it

Nice ? Not really. Silly game. How come the grenades are so incredibly unlikely to kill anyone unless the nmi swallows em ?? Bah !

I'm gonna patch up to the latest version of Minesweeper...

also my version does it without making unfounded claims and bashing Valve

In an update appernetly the HL install looks at what gfx card you have, if you do not have an nvidia chipset it defaults you to 256 models.

I have a NVidia GeForce 2 GTS and it defaults to 512x512.
