I'm not aware of any plans to remove support for @barrysworld.com addies (I still use mine for quite a few things) but as far as I know you can no longer register for them and haven't been able to for a while (if you are a new subscriber I mean).

Bif really does take a huge load of shit from us, hope the suits give him good compensation for it.

The BW main site being taken down I can understand the up-roar over, but the change of the forums is a logical move if they are stopping using barrysworld domains. So why the shock?

ewww it happened :eek: had horrible white on black with purple patches for a while till I managed to log back in.

No more mention of 'BW' then else be pelted with old eggs and tomatoes.

I got caught up in the fwenzy of all this and made sure I bookmarked the game.net url carefully.

Then I noticed I'd been using it anyway and had just dup'ed my bookmark.

Noone ever said forums.barrysworld.com would never work.

Was always our intention to transparently redirect you to the new url keeping the URI's intact so no links would break.

Just took me longer to sort out mod_rewrite, horrible module but cool when it works :p
