No, I'm suggesting if you want to act like a protectionist racket just because you don't understand procurement properly, don't be surprised if companies look after their own interests and move their facilities from outside the protectionist racket so they can better serve their customers, and more importantly, save lives.

In my view there can be no justification for how the EU are acting currently, hope those at the top feel the consequences at the next election.

why is it relevant if the UK are on it or not.... they have their own vaccine supply set up which has been working well?

Because it's a low life move, regardless of who the EU are deeming worthy of vaccines, all because the EU couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

You have literally gone from saying that it's bad the UK are hinting at doing it to defending the EU for actually doing it :D

It is something that people are trying to imply the UK government has done when in reality all the UK government has said is we have a contract with AZ, which obviously must have certain conditions which AZ can't just ignore.

No I am asking why it is of interest and Deebs explained the answer - I do not think it is a good thing at all and have said so repeatedly that the ramifcations of this argument would kill humans... please do not defer from the answer that you gave which was terrible.

@Yoni, the point I was making is why is Canada exempt but the UK is not when the issue is not with the UK Government but a company based in the UK. UK citizens could possibly suffer because of this.

Yes they could which is why a diplomatic solution should have been worked out this was just going to end in people dying which was my point above. Just because I live in mainland EU does not mean I agree with everything they do either however the perception given that EU countries helped the UK last year with PPE appears to have been forgotten.... As for group 9 if you look at the data coming out of Sweden where society has been more open than in other places it is clear that 50-55 is not a real risk group. It is the group however that contains alot of the government cronies which is why I think it is there more than for risk.... having said that it is apparent that CV19 is hitting UK and US quite hard due to demographic factors which are not as apparent in other northern european countries...

Firstly France blocked PPE being delivered to the UK early last year. Other EU countries also blocked PPE between themselves. No need to bring PPE into the vaccine issue imo.

Secondly, the population density of the UK vs Sweden is vastly different ruling out any data from Sweden saying the over 50s are at less risk in the UK. As I said earlier, once group 9 is complete help others.

You're making a mistake interpreting stats there.

Transmission rates would be different because of population density but not mortality rates - if you're over 50 and white you've the same chance of death if you live in Taddington or Tromso.

So the over 50s in the UK have the same mortality rate as those in Sweden even though we might have more diabetic, chronic issues in our population and therefore the increased density of the population increases their risk? Ok thanks Professor.

What is the mortality rate in the UK for the number of people who have died from CV19 in the 50- 59 do you have a % or are you guessing? Please link to the source also.
