But 38m illnesses in the US alone every year..350K hospitalisations

I think we just havent been taking the flu seriously.
Like i say we are just ramping up. See the deaths and rates at the end.

Yes..the proof is in the pudding.
Im confident it will level out and drop off sharpish.

Also as I have mentioned...surely we should see a huge drop in old people deaths from other life ending illnesses as Covid does the job for them.

They are completely debt riddled even with billionaire owners.

Who gives a fuck though, I think its more memorable and interesting for Liverpool to lose the cup because of a generation labelling pandemic than to win it.
Not really if you read barca and others players have cut their wages a lot. Not the pre players tho.

Just because people are old doesn't automatically mean they're going to die soon, for fucks sake.

Well it depends what you mean by soon and how old they are.
Pick a time frame and count heads.

Pandemics happen with decade gaps, heart attack..stroke..cancer, pneumonia from corona virus.

One of them is going to get them.

Dr Otto Yang infectious disease head from UCLA

Yang said it’s certainly possible that the true number of people who are infected is 10 times greater than the number of people who have confirmed cases of COVID-19. In that case, the true fatality rate would be closer to 0.2%, he said.

But even that’s still higher than the seasonal flu, which had a fatality rate of up to 0.14% last flu season, according to data from the CDC.

Gaps closing.

@Job You just keep on posting random comments or links without providing any context or comment of your own - noone wants to have a discussion with you because you don't provide an opinion.... or when you do it's leaning towards racism which is frankly not something to be excused just because we have a pandemic. I've made my opinion of you known (and mods can have their own views, of which this is one) - right now you are at best a troll, but that's at best. I really don't like engaging with you in the slightest and probably won't respond again, but you are seriously making my piss boil with your purile drivelling.

Oh woe is @Job. The poor victim!

Pretty much everyone is telling you that you keep grasping the wrong end of the stick.

But it's everyone else who is wrong. Again. Right?

I'd say about 20% of forum time is spent by people patiently trying to explain why you've made a mistake/are looking at something from the wrong angle/are failing to take into account some important information - only for you to plain ignore it and carry on like a special bull in a china shop.

That is just utter bolocks and you know it, it is mostly me pointing out the holes in your arguments which are based on your cult like adherence to everything I say is automatically wrong.

You accused me of wishing to stifle free speech to get my free speech, which was totally incorrect.
I pointed that out and the usual facepalms...because I was right.
I point out the fatality rate estimates are drastically falling...facepalm, not 'oh thats good isnt it'.
i point out how purile and futile it is to criticise Trump for small number errors on irrelevant subjects while he's flying high in the polls.....facepalm.
I posted a frickin Guardian link about how poorly the EU have performed..facepalm

Its got nothing to do with the facts or conclusions.
You just dont like me posting them because you treat the world through a filter of perceived access to 'knowledge' and take it to the level that even facts are tainted enough by the messenger to be invalid., so you invent a narrative of incompetence.

By current reports death rate is ~5% not 0.2% where did you get that number
