No one is reading the the side effects....there is a proven link and if you have low platelets specifically the injection can be fatal. Testing before vaccinations has been done before... Heaf test anyone oO? If you want people to be vaccinated and not nervous this is the way to go... Just because you have been used as a guinea pig to get this information does not mean that now there is that knowledge everyone else has to be...Yes, roll out an entire secondary testing regime, that sounds like a cracking idea when time is of the essence.
You really shouldn't read the list of side effects from taking day-to-day medicine if you're paranoid by 4 in 1 million (or whatever the incidence is) vs something that works against a virus with a ~3% chance of killing you.
6 cases in 6 mil with the J&J vaccine too, that will give the EU ammunition to shoot another vaccine down.

Anyone signing up to do some globally-useful science then?

'Mix and match' UK Covid vaccine trial expanded
Using different shots for the first and second doses might give better protection, say experts.www.bbc.co.uk
Yeah, but you can sign up to be part of a study. Actively help. Not bothered either way myself, I'll take whatever for my second jab (first was Pfizer) interesting if it is correct.
We absolutely should minimise death @Raven. Chance of death is chance of death. But we don't need to test to do it.
People need to get jabbed, with the correct vaccine, and quickly.
The results of the investigations of AZ is 1 in 40k according to a study done in Denmark. Odds are shortening also Janssens (J&J) has been stopped in Sweden for similar reasons.
Like everyone including me governments in Europe countries want their populous vaccinated as soon as possible... there are plenty of vaccinations available now so do you not think if they really believed that it was safe that they would be rolling it out regardless? Denmark are going so far as to not even delvier the vaccine to the over 60s..... For Denmark who have suffered few deaths from CV19 the decision is completely different than that of the UK where deaths have been amongst the highest in Europe. As for the EMA, it has changed its view several times in the process ... they have not as yet commented yet on the Danish study.
Currently they are recommending not flying at all.... as for long haul that is a personal choice, along with smoking and taking the pill. A necessary vaccnation not so much in my view.If they have other "safer" vaccines then sure use them. I bet they are not recommending people don't fly long haul in case they get a blood clot. Same risk.
Its a personal decision and you take the risks you are comfortable with. Or not.oO well then... Sorry I will not take an injection that could give me clots - for the same reason as I stopped taking the pill over 20 years ago, gave up smoking and do not fly long haul.. I will have an injection when I am able but it won’t be J&J or AZ - well not in this country
