Thames Valley Police were handing out this leaflet in the street and door to door until someone complained it was bullshit and they quickly admitted it was a mistake.

It is amusing that given the death rate, 99.4% of people dont personally need the vaccine protection to prevent death.

Still fixated on death rate based on total population? Its almost like people answer your posts and you ignore them

(Lets see the "see see no one really answers me!" Reply in a few posts)

Ok. Think about that in a population of 70 million.

Do they have parents there with them? I can imagine it's like herding cats trying to get them all to pay attention otherwise.

Some do, some basically get dumped in front of the lap top/tablet to get on with it.

If you think explaining to an adult that they are on mute, try doing it with a 5-year-old.

Crazy that she does it in the first place.

5 year olds shouldn't be on teams meetings luls.

Huh. I wish we were using Teams with my kids; its Google Classroom here and the teachers just dump work onto it and then kids do it and send it back for marking. There's no actual "teaching" going on. I was pretty unimpressed with the response of my kids' school in the last lockdown and I thought it would be better this time but I'm really doubtful; school was actually supposed to start yesterday but then the kids were told to stay at home, but the lazy bastard teachers aren't even going back to work until Monday.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the software is they are using, but it's a half hour or so online lesson then they get work set, I am not sure if she marks it as such, they are 5.

You are allowed to drive to exercise, in fact you can drive 'short' distances outside of your area.
So I base my measurements in AU units, so a short trip to me is Yorkshire

The gov guidance literally says you shouldn't travel outside your local area.
Yep - and government guidance says "local area" means "your village, town or the part of a city where you live".

So @Job shouldn't be leaving Formby.

You've got a fuckton of sand dunes you can reach on your bike and shops nearby. You shouldn't even be getting into your car.

That's one of the benefits for sure. Going from about 700 miles per week to less than 100 miles in 6 months has been a real blessing.

Those figures, I presume, are based on the initial variant, which it seems was significantly less transmissible than suggested. This latest variant is likely to kill more simply based on the fact more people are infected with it and will get it. The anecdotal evidence I have seen and heard is that there are significantly more younger (relative term) folks admitted with it to ITU's and CCU's than previously seen.

I was reading today that there is a large hospitals worth of Covid patients being admitted everyday now in the UK. thats pretty scary.

Its a shame that people/groups/rozzers have to resort to this type of bullying to get a message across, I doubt it was an oversight, it could well have been a desperate last ditch effort to save lives and/or make their life easier.

Folks have been takin the piss though.

f you (or a person in your care) have a health condition that routinely requires you to leave home to maintain your health - including if that involves travel beyond your local area or exercising several times a day - then you can do so.

My mental health is suffering, so I decided I need it seeing as there is no requirement or parameter for proof.

I have been locked down since March. I have diagnosed severe depression, and am suffering. I live in Bethnal Green, London, E2. I can manage to go for a fucking walk - what the fuck is wrong with you?

Its just an excuse for him to be a tool and do whatever he wants nevermind the consequences to others.
