Regardless of what WHO says the population are getting fed up with lockdown. I recall that was one of the reasons for not entering lockdown too early because at some point people will just ignore it, and they did like weeks ago. Personally I am not going out shopping etc.
Bejing is now reporting more cases. Who has the worlds CTRL-ALT-DEL ?

And it was a bad reason which ignored science.
If we had followed longstanding WHO advice - the "how to respond to pandemics effectively for dummy governments handbook" we would be out of lockdown today (would have been weeks ago) - with tens of thousands of less deaths.
It's as clear as day that our entry to lockdown was totally mismanaged and that their reasoning was wrong. Utterly fucked - as proven by the UK death rate.
The WHO, who were totally, 100%, correct then, are concerned now. As are you - as you've already said you won't be going shopping.

Wasn't the WHO the people who said that the virus cannot pass from human to human based on China's advice? Wasn't the WHO the ones who were late to call it a pandemic when the rest of the world already was? They are not the shining knights in this shitshow.
Anyway, regardless now, the lockdown has been totally undone due to people going to the beaches and the last 2 weekends of protests. Anything the Govt does is completely moot now due to Covid-19 having a banquet. Hence for my reason to still stay inside for a minium of 2 weeks.

Regardless of how you feel about the WHO @Deebs - the fact that there have been demonstrations doesn't justify throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
If you're on a diet and you have a naughty weekend you don't then go "fuck it" and eat a bucket of ice cream every day for the next week.
You double down on Monday and try to make up for your transgressions. Otherwise the consequence is that your diet was for nothing and you have runaway weight gain.
It's not "pointless" or "blown". I'd have had more respect for Bo-Jo if he came out and said "we're pushing lockdown lifting back two weeks because of the demonstrations" and used it as an example to reinforce the importance of social distancing.
In the second worst hit country in the world you'd have thought that those sorts of actions would be obvious...

The demonstrations and the beachgoers threw the baby out with the bathwater. That is the point.
Even if Johnson said lockdown is going to be extended for 2 weeks due to the twats that defied lockdown over the past few weeks I doubt anyone would listen now, the damage has been done, people will just say the infection rate is not rising. Many things could have been done better but the demonstrations have certainly not helped one bit, in fact the opposite.
I am also going to say that the Police have some blame to be attributed to them, don't think I saw any wearing any form of PPE and a riot helmet does not count.

Nope. That was the naughty weekend - (after the government fucked up with it's messaging by failing to sack cummings).
They should be doubling down with reinstatement of more severe lockdown conditions - and very large fines for non-compliance - for a short time.
Messaging can be put back on-track. Saying "oh there's nothing we can do now" is throwing the baby out...

Pretty sure one of the biggest failures in science for a generation was the Wakefield MMR study, and his refusal to pull it for 12 years, kicking off the anti-vaxxer movement. Throw in the utter bunk that was their HCQ study and I'm impressed he still has a job.

Well if 15,000 of those deaths were due to the lockdown itself, we can say yes, yes it was.
Even The Guardian have started questioning the wisdom of it - The past three months have proved it: the costs of lockdown are too high
France, Ireland, Norway and Denmark have all said that they aren't locking down again, so not sure why you still have so much enthusiasm for the 60 day free trial of communism we're just finishing.

She worked for a security company that deals with doors, shutters, barriers, etc. as a remote clerical administrator/manager of a account that dealt with airports. She wasn't the only one, two others who deal with NHS were told they were going to be made redundant as they were going reduce the role to one person and it would no longer be done remotely.

I am not sure what is so difficult to understand about a healthy economy and healthy humans being intertwined. I agree in the UK lockdown was really very necessary and for some individuals it has to carry on - however governments are not going to be able to give money away forever... and if you think they are then you are so incredibly naive.
Lockdown was there for a purpose in the UK and that was or is to keep he curve low so the NHS has the opportunity to treat as many people as possible, the virus was / is never ever going to be stamped out until there is a vaccine (AZ are looking good for that at this time however anything can happen)... It is also not realisitc to shut humans up for months waiting for a vaccine.....so society has to try to function in the best way possible and this means going to work if you have to or working from home if you can, going to school, socialising all in the safest way possible - it means not being retarded and going out and demonstrate face masks or not (the home made ones in particular do very little to protect you or others) not going to raves with thousands of people who will be uninhibited due to chemical stimulation or not etc etc
