Watching the Boris getting grilled. Hardly answered a question meaningfully, waffling and struggles with sentences.
Good luck y'all.

They weren't due to even announced this for a few days yet. Surely this wasn't just a cynical attempt to divert attention from Cummings?

Wankers are looking for an excuse to do what they want.
It seems I hit the nail right on the head unfortunately @Deebs:

the po-po said:
I’ve received intelligence reports from senior officers of my force who are saying that officers on the ground are reporting things like, ‘If it’s OK for Cummings, it’s OK for us’ … and ‘It looks like there’s one rule for us and another rule for the people in No 10 Downing Street’.

“If the rules are flexible and the people seem to have interpreted them who are [at] the heart of government, it is almost impossible for police officers to be able to carry out their job effectively

He had to be sacked. Had to.

I happen to think moving north for childcare would have been fine but the 60 mile round day-trip to Barnards Castle is clear violation. Regardless - the public reaction was obvious - and Johnson's failure to act has resulted in a lot of people doing what they fuck they want.

It's clear incompetence which costs lives and the responsibility to not undermine their own messaging lies in only one place...

He had to go simply for muddying further the already-muddy waters that were the Government's advice. Also I can't stand this "he was just doing what any father would do" defence, it's directly implying that there are millions of shit parents simply because they did everything they could to abide by the guidance of the Government.
