Dunno if it still works or not, but when i did the night shift my m8 used to lift the front end of the machine, then slam it down. After about 3-4 times of doing this a can or two would allways drop

I used to see a jakie (for non-Scots, homeless alcoholic) in Buchanan Street bus station do that every night I was waiting on a bus. Only works on the crisp/chocolate machines that dispense using those plastic spirals though.
And apparently several people a year are crushed to death by vending machines.
