Not a Cleric expert, but the main issue with this template would be the non-existent buff bonus, forcing you to have at least two buff items for field buffage. Otherwise, nice work, and pretty good artifact utility.

It's all about tradeoffs--while in pre-TOA days it was easy to have everything capped, TOA, Catacombs and now DR has made it increasingly hard to cap everything--you simply have to put priorities on what you want from a template and work towards that end. These days, there is no single, best template that everyone should use, there are many good templates that you can choose from depending on your playstyle (and wallet).

For instance, 99 dexterity is not to be scoffed at, a loss of two points of dexterity is not going to make or break anything. Low hitpoints is a more serious problem, since you can see hitpoints as essentially being "all-dmg-type resists"--i.e. it might be more beneficial to boost your hitpoints than to try and cap all of your resistances.

With my new template, I've had to rework my priorities a bit and adjust my perfectionism a notch downwards--in order to get the bonuses and utility I want, some other things will out of necessity be lacking. Being the healing Healer in a two-Healer setup, I have always had a large emphasis on power pool, and so my new DR template will have insane amounts of that, at the cost of a few low resists. (Before you say it, I am not a SH spammer. )

Of course, I'd be interested to see you come up with something better, Eggy.

Well, I believe my current template out-does this template in terms of bonuses and utility (and that's before Darkness Rising)... Of course it's a toss-up between resists/dex/% bonuses etc, but with the right items and a lot of time you can tweak most things in. Not sure if I'm even going to change my template; might just use the mace as a power charge.

I think with the Dextera mace, you should be able to produce something far more rounded than the above examples; I'll give it a go in a few weeks when I've finished CL-ing my account.

Well I agree that you should make a template with what you want in it and what fits your playing style.
Everyone says you need certain things yet I've played for a long time without jacina's and it worked fine same goes for CB eventhough my new template has JS, CB, CS, BoZ, CTR and EoY (jewelry artifacts are great as you never need to repair them as a Cleric doesn't need +stats anyway).

Topic: cleric template need some help

If ppl are so sure about their templates, why ask for "help"?
If items are useful then you should try to use them.
Theres alot of templates posted including all these useful artifacts with same stats as the template posted here, so why not take the advantage they give?
I mean theres no discussion needed that BoZ is more useful than some pure resist giving Bracer. If ppl pull it down to "playstyle" not using a free interrupt than thats more not being able to rather than playstyle imo.

So if u can get those items, you should use them as it increases ur utility in grp, which is what ur role is about.
