Need info about ML10 cloak

If I want to use the cloak, do I still need to have 3 pieces of armor to be able to summon it? And actually use it?

Considering their is only chest and legs i think equipping 3 bits of armor could present problems

Chest+legs+weapon for cloak to appear in inventory weapon doesnt matter mh oh no difference , then keep 1 of the 3 above equipped and off ya go

Can the items be of any type? I.e. cloth robe, reinforced leggins, bow on say a ranger then just keep legs equipped to keep cloak active?
