mmkay, try playing a laggy system in a zerg eynar. lots of messages go on and you can't really look at everything happening in the delve window. now in a zerg with 50 players all standing in a mass you basicly click them from a far and into the fray not really sure who you'll click, you focus in the lower right corner, or at least i do were i can see my target, and i start casting(this is not a problem when playing my thane as i'm in melee and using select closest target (f8 default, i got it remapped) also i'm never playing with names on as those cause lag.

luri champs with medium shields can easily look similar as it's a kite, and so is the midgaard large shield. anycase it's only a problem in a zerg were you just target the fray in the middle. i have no problems with it in 8v8 encounters(play with names on there) but zerg situation, relic keep situations in all those it's a problem.

also although it might suck to have your name changed i'm thriled with joy at this, since around lvl 10ish i pm'ed lurikeen to change his her name and she answered back rather roughly. i do agree not only she should be struck with the namechange everyone named as such should.

if you wanna hate me for it sure go ahead, don't hate my guild they have nothing to do with it, i know some ppl that have but i don't wanna tell their names, you can all hate me and i wont care. You should all have seen it comming it's in the CoC afterall so why name yourself against it!

i don't personally mind silly names, if ppl wanna be named dwarf, or something that's fine with me, thing is calling your self an enemy race name can be a hindrance to gameplay

also lurikeen even picked invader as his surname and that was back in 1.35 so he created his character with full intention of ruining it for midies. glad it's somehow ruined for you now

Well they change his name. He won't get it back. I don't think there is much to discuss here. Sadly.

Altho I must say it was strange to see things like bloodys not rezzing, not grouping .. etc, because he was named lurikeen. That's probably THE single most silly thing I've seen any person in this game do. It even beats Saaug leeching off malmo-groups when he was 50.

Ah well I feel sad for Lurikeen (Lury .. =) .. I'd kill myself if they named me that and they sure as hell should kill the person on Goa that came up with that name) and hope he comes up with a new name not breaking the CoC that annoys the **** out of the people reporting him to goa. It probably won't be especially hard if the name Lurikeen annoyed them to this degree.

Eynar i agree with you, ppl shouldent report names just so GOA can take em away.

Kemor say what you want, still think it sucks that ppl cant have a name that they like. I can understand if u dont want names like Fu*k you, but lurikeen?

a) A rule is a rule. If you think it is stupid, fine, that is your choice. If you disagree with it, fine, that is your choice. But it is still a rule.

b) If you break the rule, you are doing something illegal. Doing something illegal usually means you get punished for doing it.

c) Disagreeing with a rule, or thinking of it as stupid, doesn't mean the rule counts for everyone else except you.

d) Ignorance of the rules isn't an excuse. You pressed "Agree" when signing up, if you didn't read the CoC, then you are the one at a loss because you will never know if they close you for a valid reason or not. And saying "I never read it" won't help, you pressed "I agree to these terms".

So, as Kemor said, when you pick a name that is against the CoC, sooner or later it will be changed. Yes, there are worse names out there than Lurikeen, and I hope each and every one of them get changed (the more offensive ones could perhaps get a harsher punishment?) as well, but that doesn't mean that this one should have been left out either.

Lurikeen picked his name, after pressing "Agree" to the CoC. Hence he broke a rule knowingly, and now he got punished. I don't see the big problem with this?

i do realise it was a joke and lury didn't mean to destroy midgaard which is why i informed him about at earlier stages. So that he could change it, instead i got hostile answers
so i didn't join a few groups etc. were they needed me in hope to get him changing it didn't, later on i dropped that silly thing and grouped with him, and stopped msg'ing him that his name was llame, and i do realise he's a nice chap, but still wtf didn't he just change his name back then. and now it's done hurray, np's anymore

Nah I don't think there will be any problem getting a better name if he wants to, but you should see how sad poor luri is in /gu and the stuff he has been forced to put up with due to his new nick.

And cut with the "official Coc, blabla" please, not like anyone of us has been obeying to every single rule or regulation this lifetime. Rules should be obeyed, but you have to stay reasonable in it and know where to draw the line between legal and illegal.

Jupitus aah I only read the first part that luri posted on the forum and it said that he had 48 hours to reply. The first message he got from goa was dated 11/28. My misstake then, but still if you are gonna be picky I am gonna be picky. That's not a month. Still I don't see why you keep picking on that since I quite clearly stated (perhaps not clearly enough for an alb? ) that I didn't think it would be a problem if he ever came up with a new name.

I have been scared by them too (the first time I saw them) and damn I felt silly trying to attack them, but unlike others (it seems) I remember those encounters with a smile on my lips. It's one of those things that is out of the ordinary. That broke the everyday boredom of exping/zerging long enough to make me remember it.

Yep - you're right in that he most probably WILL be allowed to choose a new first name.... I was just pointing out that you were wrong to bitch at GOA over their choice of a name for him given that they gave him plenty of chance to choose one for himself....anyway, I'm outta here

I think you'll find that they do take action against the cheats - they just don't announce it, and let's face it, the players themselves aren't going to come and boast about their suspension or ban (except Layl, of course )...

If they are so well known to you, get off these boards and onto RightNow with names and times and places - help them do their job if you are so concerned about these cheats and make the Prydwen server a happier place to game in

You guys never been in a zerg with 50 guys amongst you?, ive even turned melee msgs of with my caster as i see no reason seeing them, but i still get spammed to hell by xxx casts a spell, xxx casts a spell, xxx looks paralyzed and so on.

And no, i dont see guildtags on 1000 feet distance as im a CASTER, with my thane i just press f8 and am happy, but as massive damage dealer i try to pick out targets which is better (people hitting healers, casters or enemy casters.)

Its really nice you relate this to our guild, blame Canada while your at it, everyone seems to do that.
As it looks, its only VERY few people who speak against the masses of people, and they get chain-flamed by the ones sticking together. If you really think about it, think it like this, he manually pushes YES to CoC, he manually pushed the letters L*U*R*I*K*E*E*N, so everything coming...is sadly, his own fault, even though Lurikeen is a very nice guy, and i mean that.
