My mate reckons he's played Cm 03/04 online. I thought it wasn't possible. Does anyone know if it can be done? Or perhaps it was an older version where this was possible?

Yeah it does work.. I do a league with my mate quite regularly... you have to have identical .db's when the game is started afaik.. with the same updates and same ver of game obviously.. but then it's all fine... one person is server and controls saving rates and hosts and stores the file etc... the other just simply joins and plays... tis good fun and brings back memories of the times I used to go round a mates on a Saturday and play a few seasons of 97/98

Christ, manager holidays aren't a good idea. I went out and left it on holiday. Came back and I'd lost my entire squad and replaced with a bunch of unknown teenagers. I had a 14 year old up front for 1 game. Is that even legal?

I'm so angry. Reached 2010, did the double. Went to load my save this morning and I've got errors about loading files. I don't think I can get back into my save. I've repaired/reinstalled and patched the latest versions and I'm having no luck.

Im in the 2007/08 season, thinking of trying my hand in the Spanish or Italian leagues. Obviously I would have to give free transfers to some of my players before I quit to join another team though

Anyone else find they get sod all transfer budget? I've got a whopping £6m when I have a nearly £30m balance :/

Depends what team your playing as. The rich teams have balances of around 100-150 million and transfer budgets of 27million +

Arsenal start with about 4.2mill if you're running v4.1.5. Chelsea get 52million. Its difficult though. I usuallly get rid of anyone I don't use. My squad consists of only my first 11, my subs, and 1 replacement for each position.

By the way I've been playing online with 2 friends for the last 2 days, its great fun. Might try and get a few people together for a session each day or something. We could probably complete a season in about 3 months.

Yeah after a while the money flows in. Thanks to Champions leagues wins, and television payment. Everytime I win a cup I ask for a stadium enlargement. I moved from Highbury to Ashburton Grove and had a 75000 capacity stadium.

I'm playing as Swindon. Got two successive championships to get into the Premiership, finished 6th in the Premiership for the past two seasons. I've just had a big clearout though and reshaped my backline completely as that's been letting me down, conced over 50 goals in each four seasons but manage to score plenty. Just need a couple of solid DC's now, Henchoz is getting on and Foster's not really Premiership quality.

I managed to flog a couple of players so I got in a nice £10m which I'm intent on spending.

Dawson and Huth were both top for me ( I was chelsea, I like my first game to be nice and easy ) and I bought stewart on a whim (from united) and he was top.

But then I imagine that

1) Both of them will be worth loads

2) You'll not need a DM

3) You know of better players

Dawson rocks, worth tryin to sign Lucio (Brazil) in the first season if you can. Altnough he usually wants a club playing in Europe and costs about 10million.

In the first they played well, i got to 7th and in UEFA Cup, still in it now, altho think im gonna get hammered by Dortmund when i play

In the league im a bag'o'shite the second season, 16th and all my players arent happy nearly :/.

Havent found the tactic to make em a "formidable force" again...

Perhaps we could make a FreddyHouse "league", everyone join a selected IP and away we go!
