I should be leaving that match thinking how awesome Liverpool were but instead I am thinking how can Real Madrid be second in Spain's top division. They were absolutely terrible! The English teams really are dominating - my only fear is that by some 'coincidence' all our teams will draw each other in the Quarter Finals (providing they get through of course).

That would be boring if all the English teams drew each other :p (Altho i have a bet on Roma! :p ).

England Rule!

We didn't play so well but still scored 3 (YES THREE YOU BLIND CNUT) and went through. Great to see Essien back and scoring, Carvalho got playing time too, hopefully soon we'll have 10 of our first 11 playing. :)

Can't believe how much Liverpool owned Madrid, as much as i hate 'pool, kudos.

Bayern Munich.. lol 12-1 on aggregate.

Well if that freekick counted (which was really no freekick..) then nothing would say essien would score 2 mins after. Anyway, nice for chelsea, juve played really well just didn't have that final touch, hope they will sign a few players so next year, teams will fear them a bit more.

Btw Giovinco? think we will see alot of great stuff from him. Amazing how much trouble chelsea had with him in second half when he came in!

stfu ofc they did... hard match for me to watch as i have both as favorite teams. Real has lost it totally this year:(

They haven't lost it, its just emphasising the gulf between English football and the rest of Europe. Barca are the only side who pose a real threat to any English side now as they have dominated La Liga all season, Bayern are to lacking in squad quality depth (Toni, Schweinstiger(sp?), Ribery and Lahm are the only class), whilst the jury is out on Inter any given day i'd say they'd get hammered at Old Trafford, but with the special one at there, i can see them winning and touchline run commences.

If it wasnt a masterclass from Casilias who was only Real player who looked like he wanted to win, it would have been a cricket score, feel sorry for the dude tbh, he's world no1 without a doubt but playing in a league that is going down the pan and a club following suit.

Can't see Barcelona winning it unless they pull 2 new defenders out their arse

It's advantage Barca atm and all there defenders fit?

I assume you mean Inter ?
I mean barcelona winning the whole thing.

Inter yeah, their defence looks very weak, i think they'll have a hard time keeping Utd from scoring but away goals can mean a lot if they can get any.

Yeh, i'd like Barcelona to win it tbh, otherwise this will competition will become way to english dominated and rather boring.

He is only contracted till the end of the season anyway, so that is May.

Isnt the votes starting in late march/april for new president etc?

Yeah, but no point sacking him early and paying him off when he is going anyway. New manager will still get the full close season.

Pretty even game so far for United and Inter, we should have scored a couple but O'shea pissed away a good change. Inter are playing better than last time but good enough to win? Not sure tbh, I still think United have another gear or two they can use.

Both teams look slack, should be 2-2 to be honest. Inter only seem to allow 3-4 players foward at a time though.

Barcelona are pretty much through as it is.

Arsenal still have it all to do.

Job done. Be interesting to see how the draw shapes up, some very good sides still left in it.

manchester v liverpool
arsenal v chelsea

probably be selected by platini himself ;)

fell asleep during the last half hour of the manunited game, fucking borefest. Guess they have a big game at the weekend so can't complain too much but Inter were distinctly average. Ibrawhomavic?

Yeah United went 5 across the middle after we scored the second and just let the match fizzle out, not the safest thing to do really but the weekend is a huge game for us and could well see the Scouser out of contention if we rumble them.
