Britain is great. Compared to Mogadishu or similar places. People moan that live here cause they always want better. Trouble is thats not really many places for us to go seek asylam in that are better than the uk

Problem is further back than that, in Italy, Greece and other parts of Schengen. But also further forward in the UK. If there weren't easy ways to work in the black economy in the UK, it would be far less of a preferred destination. The French are being their usual shrug the shoulders arseholes about it, but they're genuinely in the middle of the problem without really being the cause.

The French just want to pass the problem on. I know that the main issues are in Greece and Italy but these countries don't process them properly. Mainly because they know that 99% of them will move north and they perpetuate the lie that Germany and UK are much better for benefits etc. "you get a free house and food...."

Its getting beyond a joke and time time close the borders. Work it more like most other countries. You cannot stay unless you have an approved VISA or sponsorship via employment.

The actual long-term solution is to come down hard on inequality as it's the main cause of this. And to do that we need to ramp straight on into one-world-government. Fast.

I don't for a second believe that that's happening without the UK's full consent and cooperation.

Politicians on both sides will be lying to their respective populations about what the policy really is. If they do indeed have a policy.

The relocation and accepting of boat migrants is the very definition of insanity. Should adopt Aussie rules, and then find a place in Africa willing to accept them (in return for $$$), and then house them there until conditions improve in their home countries.

There's major problems with these people using gangs to get smuggle them across the Med, with the intention of getting to the UK & work to pay them back, and hold their family in ransom.

It's very similar to the middle east and Indians as @Hawkwind will tell you

That europe should do an australia and pay a government or country in africa to accept all migrants caught into big camps while they try and sort put the local issues. Not let them into europe but ship them back to africa to a friendly regime. Paid for by the money we would save as a continent from policing them and all on our own shores.

It's an impossible situation waiting to hapoen,.I'm sure there have been great economic/war migrations in the past, but the inequality of life has been laid bare by the internet, we either retreat behind a big fence or let them in with open arms, one is isolationist and we will slowly die off, the other is the loss of our cultural heritage in a single generation.
Nothing lasts for ever, but in some distant future people will pine for the days when countries had their own identities instead of the melting pot of blandness we are heading for.
