For my part Im sorry if I had a go at you in a thread a couple of years ago, it was probably before a learned to take everything said on the internet with a pinch of salt.
I remember having the same conversation with Scooba da Bass about a year or so ago, and we was ok after that.
I REALLY dont see how it has any relevance to this thread, or this very petty arguement either Louster, perhaps we should just leave it there ay .

It wasn't "having a go", it was threatening to come find me and beat me up, which is pretty distinct. And no, it doesn't have any relevance whatsoever, it's just been bugging me for so long that it had to come out eventually. And I don't consider it especially petty either. I only ever really play Vietcong online atm, wouldn't mind trying a multiplayer game of Championship Manager or Tiger Woods 2004 though.

Still got Tribes 2 installed but not had a go of that for yonks.

BY did a very good job of attracting a lot of gamers that used to play on BW before it blacked out, hopefully some of them will remmeber where they used to play. On the HL and mods front we are already seeing some ex-By gamers around.

If it helps (I am on throddys side if you care ) I get the idea B(lue)Y(onder) were following.

In rtcw(and ET) as a 'medic' you get 1 clip of ammo (32 bullets). Others get around 2 - unlimited clips. The practice was (for those who weren't retarded) to give medic, eng, etc (i.e. anyone else) ammo. So basically the rule of thumb was to give medics ammo coz they don't have much. Of course this was ignored by everyone so the medic class was saved for those who were good enough shots to survive with no ammo and/or pistol. So it got to the point were medics were shooting at lt's to get ammo, which was really annoying. So instead of rules banning people who shot at their own team they introduced a rule banning the people who were stupid enough not to recongnise that LT's need to recharge their 'ammo battery. So a lt gets a certain amount of 'ammo packs' to give out if they have no more they cannot do anything else (explosives). So basically the rule BY had was a very badly thought out rule to combat impatience.

Succintley put doh_boy . Argueing aside, it is a totally self-defeating rule, I cant imagine what posessed them to do it. I almost always play rtcw as a medic, and the first time I played on BY I clicked "need ammo" only to get a big warning across my screen "of course you need ammo, just wait" or something to that effect, then when I clicked need ammo again it took 5 rounds off me ! Oh how I laughed
The thing is, I was doing the Lts a favour by saying need ammo, as they get a point for giving me ammo, but only if I ask for it. If I dont ask, I just get it anyway.
(I may have missed that bit out of my earlier explaination )

I played RTCW online once, can't remember which server but seemed to be the kind of game that breeds contempt. I spawned in as rocket launcher guy and immediately everyone was yelling at me for TK'ing the whole team on that map where you all start in a little room. I didn't have a clue what they were talking about so ran down the street and this guy was in front of me throwing ammo packs. I was trying to dodge out the way of them but he kept managing to throw them exactly where I was dodging to, so I picked up all the packs by accident. He then TK'd me about 5 times while calling me names then I got kicked from the server.

Can't actually remember what server that was on so it's irrelevent anyhow.
