Wow. Somehow they have managed to remove the something from the pilot to make it not so good.

Cant put my finger on it but its just didnt grab me like the pilot did. Seems money cut backs may have taken a part in it

He's not really duplicating, speshly as the last thread descended into some weird "OMG RACIALISED CASTING" thing. Also, the pilot is very different to the series, though they made the decision to use the pilot as the first episode still, and not re-shoot it with the new cast, which I found a bit odd. Especially since the characterisation of the vampire and the ghost are so very different.

I thought it was ok, i loved the pilot last year and was gutted it wasn't a series back then

Thought it was funny when he noticed she had used mint shampoo, and then asked her if she had a hole, lol

And i do like Russell Tovey as an actor, but he plays the same character all the time, how he was ever considered to be Doctor Who i'll never know

In the US 13 eps is very common for a series, in japan 13 and 26.

In the UK only SIX is standard for BBC series.

God it pisses me off.
