yeah I wanted to punch people, and god did I want to ring Baltars neck when he was telling his flock that he was leaving for their safety.

That was comedy-tastic insincerity. I was sitting watching it with She Who Must Be Adored and we were both chuckling away.

Aye, loved the episode today. It really will be missed when it finally finishes. Quality TV like this doesn't come around often!

Always avoiding this thread until I'm up to date on BSG.

Another cracking good episode. Took me a few mins to figure out where the chief was off to. The bit with the grenade was great :D

Another great ep, and very exposition heavy this week.

Explains all about the Final Five, how they got to the colonies, where skinjobs came from etc.

Excellent Ep!

It was another superb episode, with a lot of questions answered and new ones raised. They just keep going from strength to strength, lets hope they can maintain this form until the end.

Well it'd be hard not to, with only 5 episodes left ;P

But the talk about:
another undiscovered skinjob model has me intrigued a good deal.

My thinking is it's
Gaius Baltar!

hmmm... Did they not say in the scene between Ellen and 1, that 1 had basically destroyed all the daniel bodies?

IMO
Daniel didn't *die* as such, and is around in some form or another, The Cyclons were all about evolving, well maybe what Cavil did to him caused him to "evolve" Starbuck appears to be one of his vessels.

Could it be that He/It would have given her the knowledge of the temple? the pattern of the super nova, he may have triggered her to kill herself, brought Kara to Earth and resurrected her in a new ship so she could go back and lead the rest there. He probably has something to do with the pulse in the nebula, blinding everyone's ships and placing Kara there, Could he have given the vision to Diana? Maybe he lives in the "in between space" that she mentioned, and has now become some form of "higher" being? Could he be Baltars head six and Six's head Baltar?

A former Cyclon who wants revenge against Cavil, he doesn't care about the humans but has been using them to get back at Cavil and helping the fleet so he can protect his "creators", The attack on the Cylon refinery, the saving of Galactica by giving Baltar knowledge to keep them one step ahead of the Cyclons, giving visions to Roslin. But he's not in complete control and sometimes his influence goes wrong such as the destruction of the Hub and angry head Six

Top stuff, really glad we're getting some answers and it's being done very well. I was really worried they'd paint themselves in to a corner and have some cop out answers. So far so good. I completely forgot about the Head Six and Head Baltar, can't wait to find out what was going on there :D.

Personally I think they're the modern Beings of Light, the messengers of God, or Angels as described by those on Kobol in TOS.

Yeah so it's only really 2 hours for the last ep, because it was always split into Pts 1 & 2 tbh.

I'm beginning to think now that:

Kara is in fact Daniel, and that the Head Characters could choose to appear to anyone they like, cylon or human. It would be the only logical explanation as to her resurrection (Ellen's lab on Earth), and explain why Anders and Saul liked her from the get-go.

I believe that Kara is the daughter of Daniel, not sure why. Just part of a discussion we had at work.

Quite a few people believe that the piano player that shows up in a couple of episodes is her father (Daniel), but it would be too much of a "meh" for me.

I like my twists with conviction, and having her be a cylon all along would be fairly forceful. Especially considering how fucked up she's been and how much soul searching she's done over the course of the series, even before her death & resurrection.

The head characters being "angels" or Beings of Light (see TOS) able to appear to anyone would explain Roslin's visions and Baltar seeing head characters (and also Adama seeing his dead wife) without either/any of them having to be a Cylon, as it otherwise has been FF characters who seen these messengers/warning signs as revealed by Anders in No Exit.

Ellen mentioned that when Cavil boxed the #7's he deliberately fucked up their genetic code, so could quite easily explain a change in chromosomes if he changed the sex of the #7 line out of spite at Ellen, who apparently loved Daniel more than John.

Its a sign of the quality of the writing that such discussions are still possible after 4 seasons. Ron Moore wrote some of the best Star Trek episodes, its no surprise that this series is so good.

I love the fact that even after all this time, so many options are open - and I don't get the feeling that anyone will be left wanting at the end.

That's what I like most about this seasons direction, I really get the impression that the answers are coming.

Not so great this ep, but still good.

Felt like more of a breather before the final push towards the end though.

I can see a rather large battle coming, else the scriptwriters wouldn't be strengthening the Galactica.

I still think back to that episode a few seasons back where Baltar and Caprica 6 are carrying a baby through some theatre. I wonder if thats still going to happen, and if it's really them or it's the ones inside their heads..seeing Baltars inside my mind 6 turn up in this episode brings it all back.

loved Baltars performance in this episode. It was slow and did not give away much, but the acting was top notch.

Agreed.

Episodes 15 & 16 I felt were a little weak but thats relative to some of the best TV there has been in years so its still good. It does smell of setting up for epic to come.

And btw, Nate, completely rofl'd at those pics :D
