FH news Backend changes and a new theme

Hi all,

As you know over the past couple of days the system has been under a higher than normal load due to the problems with WarHammer. This has given me an opportunity to profile the system and make some changes to the backend.

It also enabled me to discover a bug in the way that FH use PHP with Lighttpd. Downside is that I would need to take the server offline for 30-60 minutes to fix so for the moment I will build in a test environment until I am happy.

Now, a new theme is available. Protonis. Yes, it is not green but TdC is working on a green version of the theme. Hope you like it. Now there maybe missing icons in this so please report them back so that we can fix.

regarding the green theme, this is the status:

-master design is done

still to do:

-create proper sized pics from the master and test on the super duper secret squirrel testforums that nobody knows about.

eta: tonight if I still can't get on WAR

Make Protonis wider. You have those stupid metal effect bars on the left and right side wasting space. Just reduces the amoutn of text on display.

I like the fixed width version. Makes a change from the other fluid designs.

babyblue text over black background does not go well together...

certain text is obscure on purpose mind. otherwise, screenshots would be very much appreciated. I have a vague hope of getting the green theme done sometime this week. currently work is killing me mind, so if I persevere it may actually happen

granted its not a big issue, its mostly the text just over the posts that tells when ppl replied that is hard/near impossible to see.

kinda opens up for valid excuses for bumping old threads thats all
