This no-adding policy or whatever comes after you have had one of those extremely funny fights where you get tested to the limit. Its those fights where you use mcl twice or the very odd 3rd time, almost every person in ur and the enemy grp has been killed once or twice, but you manage to pull it through even cuz of that. There are times in the fight where you think you are gonna loose but then all of the sudden the fight turns around and you are having the upper hand. It's at that point where you realise how fun this game can actually be. When you have had such fights you really want em again and again. You can kinda compare it to sex, tho at a completely different level

Anyways, some of those ppl that have had those fights really really only play this game cuz of those fights, cuz they realise how fun it is. So you gotta realise why ppl get so frustrated, when ppl add on em and ruin that moment, that they might even tell you stuff as "foad" and the likes. It would prolly be a bit like having your mom walk in on you while having sex with that sexy blond you picked up last nite

Its funny when we had IRvR and emain was zergy as hell it was amazing how many 'leet' groups went there for their fg vs fg challenge fights with no adds

no, its obvious you know very little about the groups and you asume so much. you only meet the groups that kill you, but there are many more that do run away from zergy areas and try to leave soloers all the time

jeez.. you can play this game in all sorts of ways. As you said, its massive, its multiplayer, its online and its even a roleplaying game. You dont have to roleplay cuz its "marked" as a roleplaying game. He didnt say that roleplayers have to be disliked. he actually just said that he thought the "leet rvrers" could go to agramon while the roleplayers could go somewhere else, as the old NF zones. Cant see how that is supposed to mean that roleplayers are to be disliked

You can kill whoever you want whenever you want, there is no one playing this game who can invent rules on what you can and cannot do. There are some who think they are entitled too dictate how the game should be played to others, such players can, as politely as i can put it, suck my lovespuds.

Personally i add on certain peeps, those who run over solo's im up against (e.g i stun before i get a nuke off they run over and claim 'there kill') quite funny to get a revenge by adding on there fights, unless it backfires and you end up eating dirt

Like anything in life this boils down to the haves and the have nots... the haves have high RR guild grps or freinds to regularly run with and all stand in a huddle in a certain place in DL..the have nots have to spam lfg on the off change of picking up a spot in a random grp.
The haves will always pick up more fights and log more wins (and as a by product more rps) than the have nots...the have nots will struggle through with persistance until they have gained recognition, quit game or buy a high RR account.
As with life the have nots will always want what the haves have and the haves will always look down on the have nots, preeching values and standards to them.
Human nature is human nature whether it be RL or a computer game. Wherever there is interaction this will always be true.
So to the haves, please have a little patience and remember when you were a have not.
And to the have nots..hard work and dedication to your class will eventually see you become a have..eventually

i dnt normally add on fights if i c there is a fg fight goin on i prefer peps not to add like if the random groups im norm in find a nice group to fight, but hey if you get added on so be it, its nothin to loose sleep over. but then again if i c a fight and as soon as in range get yelled at "dont fuckin add" or anythin on those lines im sure as hell gonna go add. same as if you do add then get abuse sent at you, mby u should work out that insulting a person will only make them wanan piss u of again by adding on u whenever they c u.

tbh thats where the extra adding came from,first time was an accident,we ran into back of a mid grp started fighting,then noticed the hibs over the brow of a hill......then we made our way to mmg,had a fg mids chase me and it all got mixed up again,got yelled at for adding and following etc so then whenever we saw same grp we added cause they were such twats

Left 1 fg vs fg alone,well 3 of us did,someoen forgot to tell the bard who was eating dirt very soon after ( sorry grom)

Just point out politely that its a realm vs realm zone, if they have a problem with you or the guild/group then they should take the appropriate action and log it on Rightnow.

i didnt spend hours and hours exping my char, toa'ing it and gaining realm ranks to go out and zerg, i like 1v1 or 1v2 or whatever. it annoys me when someone adds from any side. in saying that there is no need to be rude, i usually ask them politely not to add, knowing for most roglords they will just add anyway

what adding comes down to, even tho you know that people prefere you do not add on the fight is, from my point of view, just plain lack of respect for your fellow gamer.

This is a game, nothing more, nothing less, and seeing as people know it's gonna ruin the fun(which, let me remind you, its all about) they're having in that particular fight mastade mentioned, why would u add, what you gain from adding is most likely the things that you'll be removed from raids held by these people if they remember it, the chance to experience these fights for yourself, oh and the odd 200 rps you'd gain from attacking which imo isn't worth ruining the fun for 16 people, and various ml steps youre gonna need later on.

so be a little selfish in the future and avoid adding if you can, you know the whine will be extreme

Some of my best RvR memories in this game is killing groups that add, i remember just a month or two ago killing 4 fg's in a row non stop with each subsequent grp adding at the end of the previous fight, man that was fun. Its part of the game. Sure I dont like it alot of the time but I still recognise that other people are entitled to play how they like and sometimes it can be very fun.

Every single person has added on fights at some time in the past, be it versus stealthers or in fg action so just fook off with the bullshit about i want i want, as we never get everything we want. Get a grip and just get on with enjoying the game were you can when you can and accept it that people have always added and always will, get over it and stop spamming so much bullshit about a subject that really noone can do fuck all about.

For the ones that hate adders on there fights get over it it happenes and try to keep things in perspective and for the people that are getting upset by the people that have macro'd "/y dont add ffs noob" just live with it there are all sorts of people playing this game, some good, some bad, some with social skills and others desperatly lacking em, its to be expected as u r getting a cross section of society. So the way I see it, I sort of have to add to get anywhere at all.

Can anyone see a way out of this dilemma?

no,the thing that keeps this game alive are all the people paying there subs.Those people have a right to play the game how they want to,provided it does not breach the CoC.

See how long the game would continue if all the 'roglords' ( i belive that was how someone discribed them) stopped playing and more importantly PAYING.

Regarding the "have" and the "have not", in this "universe" (as ironheart would call it), we cannot achieve a proper social segregation as in the real world where a "have not" will not even come in contact with a "have" (see urban design etc.) Everyone has to co-exist in the same setting which in turn creates social friction.

I'd advice the ones that have in this game to take a good look at their life, see the restaurants they can't afford to go to, houses they'll never live in, areas they can't approach etc. then take a look at what they "have" in game.

well thats why in many ways in-game is like irl, the more effort you put in the more you get out if you sit around your house all day doing nothing you will never be able to afford to go to the top restaurants, likewise if you spend your game time sat around doing nothing you wont achieve much either, everything you need is in toa/cata all you need to do is go and get it.

The word "roglord" was probably used out of place, but my opinion still stands, i play for the challenge of 1v1, if people add they are spoiling my fun and i have every right to tell them so.
