What's the FH server like for buggy tents? and horrible graphics near dead military folks?

same as any other server, its client sided next patch will fix it.

Well I'm fully kitted, does that mean I might as well not log on

Pretty much if you think people roam around DAOC style.

At the end of the day you can find people at any place on the map if you are right place at the right time, the game is huge you could probably pass people the next grid from you and never know it.

Roaming is not really something i would say regarding this game.

The server I usually play on has a fairly active population of people who have vehicles, and move around.

I've got as much desire to sit in a bush killing people trying to find their first item.

Found a clans camp on some French server, nicked a M4A3 CCO, AK kobra and a bunch of ammo. Left plenty so hopefully they don't notice and bring me some goodies tomorrow

Shame I don't really know where I am North west somewhere. I sort of know the area so I am hoping once that I have robbed enough from them I can aim for a landmark and make my way back to civilisation and be able to get back again.

Nah I have plenty of gear. I always go up the east coast and look for a decent gun in tents, then make my way to the airfield. This camp is jackpot though so going to stick around there for a few days (I only have time for half an hour or so an evening of DayZ anyway this week)

With regards to update, there seems to either have been a ban wave or a bugged update. Lots of players claiming to have been perma banned over the last 24 hours - all claim to have never cheated etc etc.

Yeah well Battleye will have jumped hard and fast once they realised, the game is being taken seriously and that gamers are losing out due to hackers, so I suspect they are working hard on it now.

Yeah my server had updated, so i've downloaded it and I am sorted now.

The French seem to have abandoned their camp after two nights of me robbing it!

7 morphene, 4 assault rifles, 2 silenced pistols (no ammo ) bunch of tents, barbed wire, various tools (though no GPS qq) loads of food and water bottles.

No staying power these French!

Teleported, abort button greyed out.
Made to dance on the spot and not able to move my player.

Can you get on your server asap and start looking through the script logs and ban that POS.

Think i'm just going to stop playing DayZ until the stand alone alpha comes out, its clear they havent patched out any of the scripting etc people can do so whats the point in investing hours and hours into finding camps/getting gear if some spotty little virgin cunt is just going to login with a script and kill everyone?

They can't fix the scripting issues overnight because ArmA is designed for scripts so people can set up different scenarios.

It's fucking irritating though. With regards to thunderdoming, you can just Alt+F4 as soon as it happens and then go on a different, low pop server. You end up at the airfield in open view so it gives you a chance to hide.

It's not the game that needs to be strengthened, it is battle eye

Unfortunatly all the script patches are currently broken so can't patch the server.


We've also come to the conclusion that the game right now isn't worth it so have generally stopped playing.

That's a shame, it's quite a lot of fun the game but yeah I agree the hackers do make it all seem pointless.

Can't speak well enough about UK 105 server tbh.

They advertised lack of hackers on their own server on the main DAYZ forums and have only been hit twice. Both instances the guy has been banned immediately after emailing server admins, the server is restarted 3 times a day, and they really do a good job of staying on top of it.

Me and my brother found a car which we fixed up, we drove around and decided to hit a supermarket for loot. When we got there it was completely empty, not as in looted (where there is always trash left behind) but completely empty. The same thing happened at some farms later. Do items fail to spawn if you drive right to location?
