Er...probably because Iraq attacked another country.

I was actually referring to protests against Iraq when they attacked, but on reflection it equally applies to the counter attack.

An impressive day. You can see some of my piccies here.

Some of my favourite banners included:

"War is silly."

and

"Fuck off, Bush. You cunt."

Time will tell, won't it? Estimations have ranged from 900,000 to 2 million (exaggerated, I feel) people on the march in London today, most of whom were non-Socialist Worker folk who had probably never marched in their lives, just like me.

At the very least Blair can't say he has the backing of his people.

Yes, it did something.

Sadly, no. WHAT A FUCKING WASTE OF A DAY!

I agree, what's the point of protesting against war if you can't pull birds by demonstrating your sensitive side.

Maybe they thought that only gay men marched.

You know? Like in Sidney and New Orleans.

Dont go to war! Just let him carry on dictating and slaughtering his own people until he actually manages to make a nuke and kill X million in the process! Then its ok to actually go to war! Just wait until he manages to kill X million people on OUR side before its justified instead of taking out some of his to remove the threat!

You all make me sick you ultra liberal queer faggot idiots.

Its amazing how liberals arguments turn to insults immidiately after they are made to look remotely silly. Just like a "debate" on a morning show the other day where the guy who was against war couldnt offer a logical answer to one serious question put to him by the guy with an opposite opinion resulting in him saying "I'd answer you but you look like you're going to blow a gasket" about 20 times every minute.

This isnt just about "the poor iraqie people" as lets face it, most of them have already moved house to britain anyway. Its more about the poor innocent people that this crazy idiot will use his weapons on once hes developed them and has a plan. People like you and me and our children.

The people of iraq hate him but people like you are prepaired not to go to war and leave him there so he can go on dictating and killing his own people. You're not protecting the iraqie people by not going to war as much as you are commiting them to death under Sadams rule if they dare do anything about it themselves.

Dime, my insult was in direct reply to your insult, and you know it. Let's not mount a soap box over this.

I'm not a liberal, but you're a cock, and I'm not arguing with you on a forum.

Did you know there are some towns in the UK where whites now are an ethnic minority? That's pretty fucked up imo!

I'm not racist, but they should all be gassed.

Bomb 'em all, especially Bradford. And Iraq. And Oldham.

Seeing as you claim not to be an ultra liberal queer faggot idiot, then it wasnt insulting you anyway was it? Fuck face.

And by posting back like you did im not arguing either, honest, im just replying to the conversation in a patronising and disagreeing way... oh wait.

You're dead inside :-(

Nothing to do with your day but ponce round london with banners trying to protect a mass murderer :/

Mere shell of a man :/ No soul to talk of :/

There is one practical solution to the current problem...

They should grind all the woolly hand-holding liberals up into some kind of compound to feed to "Our Boys" in the Gulf!

Similar to compound X then but with liberals. I like it.

I'd think that if India and Pakistan kicked off that would be a hell of alot more serious than the current Iraq problem.

Both have nukes, Huge army's (although slighly outdated) 1 billion+ people in India, 142 million+ in Pakistan. Pakistan has a military general in control and India a democratic goverement with Hindu fanatic outburst!!!

Would not be a pretty

Unfortunately it's not quite as simple as lets not go to war because war is horrid and naughty!

How about the fact that it'd be illegal to go to war with him just because we don't like the way he runs his country? Now I'd gladly see sadam sliced in to 1000 peices, from the feet up but that doesnt mean that we can just break international law and go to war.

tbh, I don't know what the answer is, saddam is a psycho, and a danger. If he has weapons, he may well use them.. but basically it amounts to minority report. How far before a crime happens can you decide that it will, and act upon it?

Again, saddam is obviously fucked, but it strikes me that going to war before any nukes have been found is the first step to a terrible state of affairs. America could start tightening its grip on all the countries it doesn't like much, and it'll all go downhill from there.

Not really, even using the inflated figures of 2 million only represents 1/25th of Englands population.

Narrow it down to the number of people who were free that day and able to attend, and you get a bit of a higher percentage.
