Well i was wondering where i put that thing.

But unlike Earth, this alien world has one side always facing its sun and the other side constantly in the dark. So in-between the two sides, between shadow and light, there could be an area where life could potentially thrive.

Would pretty random having 2 completely different sides of a planet, your either frozen or sunburnt there

There's a thriving civilization of people in the "comfort zone", a ring of cities and roads and all that. On the fire side, they run harvesters for minerals and lava stuff things, diamonds and all. On the frozen side, they collect ice for water and all that sort of thing.

But on both sides there also live huge MONSTERS! These monsters of fire and ice fight eachother as they have from the dawn of time and every now and then the people get in the middle!

Now there's an increasing amount of creature activity on both sides and YOU are the only ho...erhm.

You're not considering the need to beat every single one in any given subject. If the work supervisor says "You can't build faster then he does.", you'll get two models, one prototype and a previously prototyped finished ship in three days.

Ofcourse it'll be riddled with mud, cursewords and deathtraps, but it's a ship
