on the note of her influencing young children as her being a role model.

Bad parenting will let that happen not a bad role model.
And bad parenting is worse than 1 addict.

Yay ignored by Tom , another life ambition reached
I'm probably on his already and he's definitely on mine.

I was honest in my opinion earlier (ironic laugh). If you don't like my opinion about it, that's your problem, not mine.

Some of us are glad to see she's no longer suffering herself and no longer causing pain to those around her (watching her act a twat and listening to her try and be a mere shadow of her former self).
Do you really think this isn't causing those around her pain? Do you think they are relieved that at least now they won't be caused any more pain by her 'acting like a twat'?

If not, then why are you glad about it?

I'll throw an RIP in here since she had some ok songs, but I don't usually spare thought for random druggie's that die in the local paper; and I won't for one in the national paper. Is her ex-boyfriend on hubby whatever still in jail ? I forget and couldn't careless about people like them.

Seriously Himse don't drag your tendency to be a hypocrite from the TG thread in to this one just so you can try and have a pop at Tom over someones death.

It's not a pop, it's just what I read, every time, in every thread it's same old story.

Probably the most childish thing i have red on FH in awhile
You obviously don't read much on these forums then. My comment was about Tom and Gimmly being massive vaginas again though, much like in every thread.

Think you misunderstood that a little (or I typed it a bit half-arsed, quite likely these days). I meant those that did care for her can be glad she's no longer suffering - as much as it was self-inflicted.

please be aware that self inflicted, directly or indirectly, there's a good chance she passed away cold and scared and alone. that's not something I would wish on any one. have a heart, eh?

im not a fan of hers and tbh i cant say im bothered one way or another its just another person thats died that i didnt know

as someone says i have a hard time paying any interest in the story considering whats just happened in norway to me thats news worthy and that is tragic so much young life taken away from the world

as with anyone who loses a loved one her family and friends have my condolences but when all is said and done she was an adult and in control of her own actions.

@tdc thxs m8 u just made me look a twat i thought i had a bug on my monitor! bloody avatar lol

Yeah I'm not a fan of the BBC's headline "Amy Winehouse joins iconic stars who died aged 27", it implies that she is/was also an iconic star. Dontthinkso.

During my Mother's last couple of years two people in our friends/family circle attempted suicide and failed. I have never been so fucking angry, why? Because Mum broke down in tears and said "I am fighting for life and they just want to throw it away". I won't go into the reasons they chose to try to end their life as I believe there is NO reason especially if you have children.

I totally agree this is a annoying total waste of life, but at the same time it just seems some people are taking an almost gloating attitude to another persons troubled life and resulting death earlier on in the thread.

As stated I wasn't personally a fan of her music but then I do tend to think of her as talented, I won't shed a tear for her because it isn't as if I know her in any real way and in the end whatever killed her was probably self induced but I still view it as a shame.

Seems Tom can't take the fact others have different views

Never mind. Her friends did try to help. Even Gavin from Autoglass tried to fix the crack problem but she didn't want his special resin either :(

All things set aside... I've still not forgiven her for ruining Valerie so :(

However: yes it's always sad to see that somebody has died at the age of 27 / however if your run of the mill drug addict died at 27 nobody would give a damn, because its a celeb.... well that's something else entirely....

A lot of INNOCENT people died this weekend how about we mourn the people that deserve our emotions.

That's all a matter of (very subjective) opinion; personally I think she was the very definition of "iconic" (which isn't to say I thought much of her at a personal level), and I think certain of those 60s "icons" weren't exactly prizes as human beings either (e.g. Jim Morrison, a massive bell end if ever there was one).

I don't have an opinion/axe to grind about her death one way or another, because lets face it, we only know anything about her through a tabloid lens, which is no way to judge any human being.

On a perhaps related comparison, james dean vs ryan dunn comes to mind. Well, atleast as a comparison to how the popularity and persona affect how people perceive the death.

I feel sorry for the poor fucker having to clean her.

I Enjoyed some of her music, However I suspect that was mainly down to Ronsons input. She did have a recognisable voice, fortunately for anyone wanting to hear it her niece is being pushed into the void she wil leave, and she does not appear to be a smack head yet.

Lets hope she's learned from her Aunt!

Why on earth were more poeple not helping her out.

If she didn't want it nothing they could have done would have worked.

An addict needs to want to be helped, otherwise it's pointless even trying.

Doesn't make her death any less sad tho... :(
