Just about to do my first fantasy draft of the year. Have the second overall pick. If AP goes first, really tempted to go for megatron.

Idiota! Is this for a league or just a practice run? Honestly this year, unless I have the No.1 pick, I'm going RB-RB in the first two rounds and maybe even RB-RB-RB. Wide reciever has some good players way late. Antiono Brown, Denario Alexander, Cecil shorts, James Jones - all guys who will be available in the 5th round and beyond and who will do ok for you. After playing FF for a couple of years the conclusion I've come to is this: Running backs are reliable if you get the top guys, WR's almost never are except maybe Maegatron, but RB's are just too sparse this year.

Realised too late i'd gone 5 WR's instead of RB's. I went RB-RB-QB-WR-WR... Gore might be a stretch as my R2 pick given his age but he had a great year last year.

I really like Luck and he had a very good year considering the state the Colts were in. But I've always loved a QB that made it happen with his own feet. Vick being the obvious choice, but Donovan Mcnabb never knew when to quit and always gave it a go with his legs.

But now I have loads to get excited about CK Is just an unreal athlete with an arm to go with it.

My fav is Russell though, simply because he's a smaller guy!

I do wonder how long it will take for DC's to work out proper plans for a read option O. I'd love to see the 9ers struggle this year even though I drafted Gore for my fantasy team. Their D will pull them through no doubt. How long till pre-season now?

That's the beauty with these guys though, cut off the run and they punish you with the throw.

Well I've read that more than a few coach's have teamed up and spent part of the off season together in Stanford trying to figure out ways to stop the read option.

I'm definitely rooting for Russell hussle and bustle, man muscle Wilson!

Fancy taking a stab at trying to predict your teams record?
Here's how I think it goes down for the Pat's:

Game 1 @ Bills - W Pats 24 - 14 Bills - Pats make a strong start without Gronk and Amendola looks good.

Game 2 Jets - W Jets 10 - 17 Pats - More of a squeaker because the Jets could be solid on D, but they are a disaster on offense.

Game 3 Bucs - L Bucs 28 - 21 Pats - Pats take a long time to get going and by the time they do Jackson/ Martin have done too much damage. Revis gets a pick on Brady.

Game 4 @ Falcons - L Pats 24 - 31 Atlanta - Pat's play ok, but the Falcons are just too much on offense.

Game 5 @ Bengals - W Pats 42 - 21 Benglas - After losing two on the trot and after getting Gronk back and up to speed they go int FU mode and destroy the Bengals.

Game 6 Saints - W Saints 28 - 31 Pats - Despite a good start from Payton coming back, the Pats hand them their first loss of the season.

Game 7 @ Jets - W Pats 38 - 17 Jets - Team starts to look good and breezes by the Jets.

Game 8 Dolphins - W Fins 21 - 35 Pats - Still cruising agains the lesser teams.

Game 9 Steelers - L Steelers 21 - 10 Pats - Offense never gets going and the team look well beaten.

BYE WEEK

Game 10 @ Panthers - L Pats 21 - 42 Panthers - Pats get blown out and people start to ask if the wheels are coming off.

Game 11 Denver Broncos - W Broncos 24 - 31 - Despite a decent game from Peyton, Brady and co hang on.

Game 12 @ Texans - L Pats 10 - 17 Texans - After being humiliated last year the Texans come out and lay the smack down on defense.

Game 13 Browns - W Browns 10 - 45 Pats - If the Pat's don't win this I am going to give up on them. It's the Browns.

Game 14 @ Miami - W Pats 38 - 24 Fins - Dolphins look pretty good, but with Gronk at full health the Pats are too good.

Game 15 @ Ravens - W Pats 41 - 28 Ravens - BB and TFB are out for revenge and put up numbers despite a good game from Flacco.

Game 16 Bills - W Bills 17 - 28 Pats - Pats are going for a decent playoff position and keep the foot on the gas.


All in all I think a solid but far from spectacular 11-5 season, coasting into the playoffs mostly just because of how bad their division is. Honestly I think 9-8 wins this division.

Beaten again in the AFC championship by Denver.

edit - Seriously though. 5 games we have a chance in. Week 2 v Jags, week 9 v Eagles, week 14 @ Jets, and the 2 divisional games again the Chargers. Realistically i'm thinking 2-14 season, and first overall pick, which will be Clowney, Bridgewater, or a big trade for someone (Probably the Falcons) who wants Clowney.
