I think Tebow gets a hard time, I know the broncos defence/offensive line was superb in his run, but the fact is they were not winning games until he started at QB. If a team built their offence around him I think the guy is just s winner and he did enough with the broncos to justify giving him a shot.
NFL.com are mocking Fisher to the Raiders which is an interesting one. Would be an interesting strategy as we could possibly then shop him out to trade down, but the one position we really don't need is an LT so it'd be a huge waste if we can't.
I know I'm chomping at the bit myself. If you want something to tide you over while you wait give this podcast a listen - http://espn.go.com/espnradio/grantland/player?id=9209934. They are talking about the draft in this episode. What I love about this one is that it's one of the few that really gives Offensive and Defensive LINE play the credit it deserves, because one of the guys on it was an Olineman for about 12 years in the NFL.
Really hope the pats manage to trade back out of the first round. Get some depth.
edit - if you cba to read it it mainly goes on about that as an individual 1 single elite o-lineman isn't going to get you anywhere, its about group dynamics.
haven't had time to look at the drafts yet. Have Pats had any 1st round pick yet this season? I know Belichick usually trades it away for a couple more in the 2nd and 3rd round.. If they did get a pick, did they get a WR?
He's tall and pretty fast (4.4 40 yard dash time). Can't say I know much about whether he has good hands or not but he's a definite downfield player and that's what they have needed for a long time. They don't even need him to catch passes deep, they just need to make sure they keep oposing CB's honest on his side of the field.
