Just watching some highlights for this kid. He looks like a incredible talent but seems like he is starting to believe his own hype already.

Itll be interesting to see where he gets drafted next year. The Pundits are so split on his nfl credentials. Matt Miller has him as 4th best qb after Bridgewater, Boyd and the oregon qb whose name I forget but plenty of people dont think he will get drafted at all

He's a bit nippy isn't he. Got a good eye for a pass when he is under pressure as well.

You mean like Tebow he is OK at College level but he will not be a decent NFL QB?

I haven't watched an awful lot of him, so I can't say this with 100% authority, but I don't think it's a Tebow type thing.

Tebow is a great footballer....the reason that he didn't make it in the NFL isn't that he "couldn't hack it"....it's honestly like 80% his mechanics and 20% is accuracy.

Tebow has a throwing motion that I think is by far the slowest of any QB that has started in the NFL in years. When Tom Brady throws a ball, at it's furthest point back, it's at most 3/4 of a foot behind his "release point". When he wants the throw, the ball is out half a second later. If you watch Tebow throw the ball, he frequently pulls it back almost a full arm length. This extra distance means a longer release. Look at the pictures below to see what I mean.

In college he could get away with that because everything was slower. In the NFL that second makes all the difference.

Manziel's problem..... at least as I see it, is that he is too small as a runner to do it as often as Tebow or Cam Newton did. RG3 is a similar size...but he is honestly always an injury waiting to happen, Manziel would be too. The thing is though, whereas RG3 has a great "football mind", I don't think Manziel does, and I don't think he's every going to be able to make the same throws RG3 can when he's not beating up on Big East defenses.

Just my two cents.

Better than ok at College level but not got what Scouts look for at NFL level. He looks a bit like Russell Wilson to me though and there were plenty of people who said that he wouldnt succeed hence he went 3rd round

gonna miss the entire opening weekend as im busy until tuesday :(

the game last night finished half an hour before i woke up this morning, so probably best i didnt stay up for it.

Issac Redman better start and play well for the Steelers this week, I stuck him in the flex slot in one of my teams at the last minute over Torrey Smith who picked up 92 yards

Jesus christ the Pats were awful today. Need to win those type of games and they did. Lets hope they look better against the jets!

Looking good against the Jets can not be that hard! Just watched the Packers 49er game, great game, Boldin truly amazing.

Pleased with the Packers performance, defence wise they were much better than at any point last season.

Few individual errors on the offence cost them.

Tim Tebow should just give up and be a life coach or something like that.

Cerb, how did Ridley and Amendola play?

Tebow ahs been offered an arena league contract by the team owned by KISS. Yup, the band.

Not had a chance to watch any of the weekends games yet, but it looks like it was a great opening weekend, should be able to catch up tomorrow night. Sounds like there was a lot of positives to take from the Raiders game even though we lost. Sounds like the line was awful which meant RunDMC had a poor game, but allowed Pryor to pick up a lot of yards with his feet because he had to.

Also Marc , from what i've heard Ridley went off with an injury fairly early on but Vereen had a good game in his stead, not sure about Amendola though.

Ridley had a mare unfortunately. He fumbled on his very first run. Luckily he was ruled down before it popped out so the Pats didn't lose thee ball on that occasion....however about 10 plays later he fumbled it again and this time the Bills returned it for a TD. He got benched after that and didn't see another sniff of the game. Vereen played so well that I'd worry Ridley has lost his job for good except....Vereen broke his wrist at the start of the game (played through it though the tough cunt) and will now be out for 3-4 weeks.

Amendola was a total beast tbh. He's the reason they won the game. He went off for a few at the end of the first half after it looked like he tweeked his groin, but he came back on and made some unreal catches on their final drive to set up the winning field goal. After that game I really do believe the "better than Welker if he stays healthy" line. The problem is..he's not going to.

After a couple days to think about the game I'm not as worried as I was right after. The Bills always give the Pats a tough game, especially at home. The offense is always never going to be that bad again. They are going to gel more and more every week and when Gronk gets back in (touch wood) week 3 they should be all systems go again.

Roll on the Jets!

The Raiders O-Line was abysmal as usual..but Pryor actually didn't look too bad. He just doesn't stand a chance there tho. No recievers and no Line means he's going to get hit like crazy.

I think we are fine for receivers, probably our strongest unit. No studs but 3 solid players in Moore, Streater and Ford and our rookie TEs looked ok pre season. O line is in terrible shape though and its the only reason Pryor won the starting job imo. He can make plays with his feet behind a shit line and Flynn would die. Will be interesting to see how Pryor fairs against a good pass pass rush though rather than a poor to average one.

Finally watched the Raiders game. All the talk is about Pryor, but it was the D that impressed me. 9 new starters and Luck was constantly under pressure and deep coverage was good, but went missing in the middle sometimes. If Luck wasn't such a good QB we'd have won that game. So many times he was under immense pressure and still somehow delivered. One time he was hit by Burnett, very experienced LB - good tackle, properly wrapped up - somehow he gets out of it and gets the ball away for 10-15 yards. He is amazing.

I'm debating starting Denarius Moore (home vs Jacksonville) over James Jones (GB home vs Redskins). Pryor has to throw the ball to someone, and it's more than likely to be to Moore.

Yep. Moore has emerged as his number one target already. However, while I expect us to beat the jags, you don't need to put up any yards to do it it and their D is definitely a lot better than than their O. I'd say start Moore but only just.

Gah. Should be home on Sunday in time to watch the Raiders game... but it's the same time as the Manning bowl. I think it'll be the game of weekend (i think SF v SEA will be a massive disappointment). Decisions, decisions.

Scrappy game last night, if Geno hadn't thrown 3 interceptions in the 4th quarter the Pats could have found themselves beaten. Never seen Brady as bad as last night. He was going mental on the sidelines.

I heard his receivers didn't help much though. Dobson in particular, Amendola going down etc.

Dobson had one TD, but besides that he pretty much dropped it all or didn't bother looking

Brady made some bad throws to begin with but that game was faaaaaar from being even a little bit his fault.

I get that the recievers were rookies, so there are going to be some plays where their timing is off, but there were plays where Brady literally hit their hands with the ball, and they somehow they still dropped them.

Gronk, I love you, come back soon. Please. :(

Seahawks DST put more points on the board than My QB Kaepernick and my RB's Ray Rice and Reggie Bush. I lost by 3 points. Sigh.
