Ch3tan, saying you hope his daughter gets porked by this guy is completely out of order, I swear if I was Job I'd actually hunt you down and beat the living shit out of you, you owe him an apology tbh.

I've used the FH reporting function to report this post, I believe my reasoning is sound:

promoting physical violence because he doesn't understand the context of my post. Should be a ban. I can't believe he is allowed to get away with a comment like that, it's completely out of order.

Yes, how terrible. Nobody should be allowed principals or beliefs in the 21st century.
absoloutly not if it affects their job. He chose his beliefs, he chose his job; if the two don't go hand in hand then he needs to ditch one or the other, or practise medicine in a country with far less morally ambiguos situations..........

Well, Scouse doesn't have to worry about being sandvaginad any more, setting him on ignore as FOAD comments are over a line that i can't accept in any shape. Should solve that.

When i can find the bloody thing, never in history ignored anyone anywhere.

to be fair it was a MASSIVE overreaction to your comment,

cos CLEARLY logic dictates that if they were a religous nutjob they would not be "porking" anyone outside of the marriage bed so Job would have had plently of notice of such events........... thus the comment was an oxymoron. i r teh winnar of teh interwebzzzz

Well no, a Doctor has to firstly follow the code of conduct he or she signed up to. If they are unable to do so, they should set up a private practise that will only deal with patients that share their beliefs.

No one is opposing the Dr having a belief (well maybe job is), but he is not doing his job properly if he's dealt with it in the manner Job has claimed (which I still doubt).
It all depends on why she wants the pill if its so she does not need Condoms then his beliefs should be allowed. He is not denying her urgent medical treatment just making her sex life easier.

BTW Scouse, because you Northerners have SUCH a poor grip on the English language:

Poof = gay
Puff = puff of smoke
Pouffe = something you put your feet on

Such a noob. :D

None of us is saying he shouldn't be able to hold them.

We're saying he's in a position of responsibility that he chose to be in - and the legal guidelines for someone in his position of responsibility state that his beliefs shouldn't interfere with his job - and they did.

The doctors respected your beliefs when you refused to accept a blood transfusion, putting your own life at risk. That would have gone strongly against what they would have wanted to do - but they were generous enough to make you feel at ease and comfortable with yourself.

This doctor, because of his religion, didn't offer a patient the same courtesy...

Well yes they come from French but so does half of our language, that's why we have so many brilliant words.

Not true at all soze. Condoms are nowhere near as effective as a birth control method as the pill. Refusing to give her the pill puts her at significantly higher risk of unwanted pregnancy - which is a very serious business.

Religious beliefs have no place in a doctors surgery. Doctors have been sacked and struck-off the medical register for being unable to grasp this simple fact.

Regional words are often included in dictionaries...

Yup. "Poof" is in there too. Something to do with Wiz0rds and making people disappear :)

Looks like you might have been right.

So Job. Are you going to fill for form out and report it to the GMC? If the doctor has done it to your daughter, he's doing it to everyones - and he needs to stop...

...and we need to hear about it :)

No I suppose it’s a bit naïve to think that by denying access it would stop someone having sex. And while the pill is not 100% effective either preaching using both would be the best answer.

It depends on her reasons for wanting the pill; she's already taking it. The Doctor is morally objecting to her lifestyle. I do not believe it is his place to do that unless he feels she is putting her health at risk, he's not there to take care of her soul.

Shouldn't be a doctor if he wants to deny her the pill.

It's her own choice, not his, unless there is something medically wrong with her meaning she can't have it he shouldn't be allowed to not give it to her.

Preaching in any form is not acceptable in a doctors surgery.

He can advise her to use both (and doctors frequently do - especially if she has multiple partners) - but saying "I won't give you this, it's against my religious beliefs" should see the fucker sanctioned against.

Ch3t are you intentionally misreading every post and being a cock?

Even the link you posted states the doctor can refuse a treatment when in conflict but has to make sure other arrangements are made - ie a new appointment with a doctor who is known not to be a nutter (ie catholic, presumably).
