if you're UK based, all online orders have a 14 day cooling down period, especially if you've not yet received the product you've ordered

That's europe-law.

You havn't yet received your product (and this is a consumer vs. company), therefore the company can't:

* Charge your CC

And you can:
* Decide to cancel your transaction. Product back vs. money back. Within 14 days - no question asked.

Instead of flaming Goa we could also think about wat went wrong..

I think those a damn dwarf entered the GOA office and started to tweak those database servers...

Now i only need to belive it my self so ill hunt down every dwarf that il see..

What went wrong was I gave them a second chance. :(

Something speedily resolved in the morning when I phone up to cancel my preorder.

Stuff GOA :twak: - back to Mythic I go.

Just a thought - what's gonna happen in a month when everyone hits payment site to renew I bet they don't have problems taking the cash lol

If I like the game, why would I 'renew' paying GOA when I could get and play the US version for a small amount more.... unless things improve drastically, I don't have much fear of the GOA accounts system getting 'swamped'! :p

It says registration complete in a picture that got a beige background, also says that a confirmation e-mail will be sent to you.
And that's the final "phase" afaik until you get the e-mail..

then i need to keep pressing confirm button cause i didnt get any confirm message... i only see the damn thing doing cycles and nothing after

What nerve, they post on the news saying the beta servers are up before any fucka can even register! LOL. They should spend their fucking time sorting reg out than getting servers up, why get them up for only a few people to play hahaha. This is a brilliant showcase of fukwit syndrome

With my limited experience in databases and websites i could have fixed this in 12 hours haha. They must have one "DIY maintenance man" named malcom itching his arse, sniffing his fingers as he prods and pokes the server towers. Fucking abysmal

just got this reply from Multiplay...
"A cooling off period can only apply to purchased goods not something that's free so that doesn't really apply here?"
We've not received the ordered goods.

Oh, and no, they were always this bad when I played DAoC, which was from the release up til EQ2 went live.

GOA has always been incompetent and completely uninterested in running a good service. They have the opinion that "the stupid little games will keep paying us anyway, so we dont have to make any effort". Anyone who has dealt with them before, in DAOC for example, already know this.

Of course they are going to screw up, both on todays beta-launch and when the game launches for real.

The only strange part is why Mythic insists on only working with GOA. Are there no other companies out there that can run a server-farm and a website?
