I'm a bit gutted.

I logged into Mythics account page on their Warhammer site, and had my old DAoC account upgraded, and a verification freebie for my new Warhammer account (a custom title or something).

Actually, I'm more than a bit gutted.

But then I cheered up - my keys will be going in there soon.

Succesfully entered my OB key at 16:30 local time. If at that point i had know that electricity in GOA's machinery travels at 5km/h i would have called a taxi, made it to the airport by 17:00, just in time to catch 17:40 flight Helsinki - Riga. At 18:45 in Riga i would have taken a short nap before boarding the 20:45 flight to Dublin. I would have made it to airport in Dublin by 21:50.

If by any chance they could not help me out in their Dublin office i would have, with a bit of luck and crazy taxi drivers, made it to flight from Dublin to Paris 22:30 and arrived in Paris by 01:30.

Its 2029km from Helsinki to Dublin and 770km from Dublin to Paris.

This proves that i am somehow related to Santa Claus since i, apparently, have the talent to travel 2799km FASTER THAN MY EMAIL THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE TRAVELING AT THE SPEED OF THE FREAKING LIGHT!

I did a 20K mailshot about 10 years ago in @4 hours. I could do the same today in about 20 minutes processing time....HELL when I do outlook mailshots (300 users) it takes under 10 minutes and thats generating a unique email for every single email address.

No it isn't hard, GOAs tech people just aren't up to the job.

They can send an e-mail easy enough. Either they know they don't have enough servers, or they have no clue how to verify their OB codes or there is something else going on. All in all, it does not look at all good for launch day.

Ok I just did a little test with Mythics Warhammer account system, so we can get a comparison of the systems.

I just logged in to change the access password, to see how long it took them to send me the confirmation e-mail that the password had been changed.

It took less than One and a Half minutes for that e-mail to get into my inbox . . . .

GOA can go and shove it, i just got the us beta key from warcry and im downloading client now. Whole registration took 5 minutes.
