Im downloading from Freddys at the moment. Myproblem is my isp. They have a nasty habit of capping downloads during peek hours. It will immprove later but for now Im getting a measly 8k/s (compared with 200+ k/s earlier)

Ok, not that I don't like Freddys... I this it's a great site!!! Been a bit of a life saver in this tradegy!
But have you tried Fileplay? I had an average of 900-950k/s on a 10mbit line the entire dl.

The first 60% downloaded in like 7 or 8 hours - the next 3% has taken about 2 and half hours - not good

Can't you just reinstall using the files you have already downloaded?

Perhaps it just messed up when installing, try that?

This is poor. 4 Hours after entering my validation details and still no email. This is not a "short" time.

I've just tried to enter my validation key, and got this funky little box with a spinning spiky wheel. That's it. Nothing to say thanks, your request has been submitted, just a permanent processing pic, I don't even know if their server got the details to check, let alone if it'll be successful.

Just refresh and put your details in again, it should go right through second time round (he says!)

I havent tried fileplay - the original came from GOA so this is definately an improvement so far - but the proof is in the pudding. I'll wait and see what happens once download is complete

My bet is the flash developers are now going through a gazillion verification codes manually, cause noway any computerized system is _THIS_ slow! (unless ofc they are running their entire business on one laptop with hundres of Virtual PC's)
