Sorry to hear this happened to you Gohrim. There are a number of stories circulating that you are not the original player, that the account has been shared/sold/swapped ... I wouldn't ask you to confirm that on a public forum but if it's correct you should try and contact other users of the account.

The very first thing you should do on trading an account is change, at the very least, the password and the contact address. Not to do so invites trouble of the peskiest kind.

someone on the french server been baned this week because he he used a cheat.

he posted a thread saying: oh no been baned i downloaded a cheat and used it, just to see if it was working ... and indeed it was working. so he quickly logged off and uninstalled the third party program.

but, goa had the log and he recieved an email the next day, and yes of course he had his 2 account banned aswell. that guy was playing since the end of beta. kinda sad.

Sucks what happened though - not even like the characters have been deleted or anything. Have you asked GoA for a statement of your account with them, up until it was closed? If they print one off, it should show the payments, then the date your acct was terminated, and by who, maybe? (wonders if that should be whom)

hope you get some joy from em and if needed, i prolly got a million screenies with you in, showing what weapons/armour your wearing from the third person, and you know you got the backup of the realm - if its un-just you know you got teh l33t of the whining community on your side to mail Rightnow in protest

I thought GOA treats people not as customers, but as accounts? (i.e. you cheat with Acc 1, it gets banned and nothing happens to Acc 2)

Yeah, and if you have 2 guns and shoot someone with one then the police should take this gun away and leave you the 2nd, right?

I dont think they would ban someone without proof. I for myself have reported people several times for _possible_ use of cheats. I never said they were cheating. I described what I saw and left it to GOA to supervise the player.

Care to explain what class or in-guild rank has to do with the use of cheating tools? Just because he's a GM and a Cleric he's Jesus in rl or what?
