A parting gift (mainly for noobs and city level crafters of all realms)

Something I knocked together pre PVP for the CE folks which it occurred to me may be of help to the noobs out there as well as realm jumpers who havent a clue geographically about foreign lands (and from what I have experienced a fair few peep who don't think they are noobs but still havent a clue ).

The DL is a 10meg .exe (without viruses Candour, you sceptical git) and any thanks should really go to those peeps who originally created the city plans, dungeons and zonemaps and posted them on the web. I apologise to anyone in advance whose OS system won't run this program (and there will be a few)...blame that on a Macromedia glitch between Director and Flash which I couldnt get resolved before launch back in November. As the master cartographer behind the Hrafn zonemaps won't be doing SI (and I cant be arsed to replicate Dodens ) what you see is what you get, I'm afraid. Those of you for which it does run and you find useful, glad to be of assistance.

For those looking for an intellectual challenge in months to come maybe I'll trade plasma with you or buy you a pint in a bar on Alpha Centauri in the Eve universe.

For those of you who are intellectually challenged...have fun with SWG (which appears to have drawn all the 1337 kiddies away from Eve thank god )

eve looks damn sweet, getting my vote over swg certainly, always loved space combat sims before i started playing daoc, xwa and starlancer to name a few (though i doubt anyones heard of sl, mores the pity)

I will most likely be playing SWG and Eve when they're released. Although judging from what I have read and seen so far, I will predict SWG will be the better of the 2 games. And if I do see you on Eve I'll be sure to remind you of that pint

Anyway, it's sad you've made the decision not to come back to Exc and I share the thoughts of Chipper. You certainly rejuvenated my interest in the game when I was contemplating on quitting.

Hey I've played Starlancer - also in multiplayer - very fun
Of course I've been hooked on the Wing Commander Series since WC1 was released
