Well, I've posted the tactics, so anyone can lead one. If you're relying on someone else to host an event, respect their decisions at the end of the day.

Chodax, I still don't have the answer to my question with your reply. :)

"Why make a sign-up thread if it's the same people every time?"

Every time people can sign up, same people get chosen each time, you shouldn't have to choose. Just silly to make a sign-up and turn down the same people every time. :)

Other than that, it's of course great people organise non-guildonly raids. :)

Well, regulars may drop out, so new people get the spot instead. Or group composition gets changed slightly etc.

Dead simple, no way to know if all those 24 people from the last attempt want to attend or are able to. I agree it might mislead some people but if you have a better suggest then people will be all for it.

After raid say "next sunday, same time?" :p

heh, what have i caused? I am not leading the raid, i am also not the one picking people for the raid. I don't say i disagree with the way its done as i'm very glad i got a spot. I enjoy the raids more for the fight than the stone's (It's very challenging, not just stick and spam a style) and i'm glad i was picked.

ye, keep it private instead :(

only purpose of this public sign up is to show off who's gonna have stones for sale and to see what ppl are in need of one (so the choose 1337 ones can sell stones).

Most people can't plan a week in advance so your point is null and void.

That isn't true, sure the same people are taking the spots week after week. That doesn't mean there will never be any places available or that you couldn't go on hunts run by others.

Mind you, I bet the people who refused to come on the first raid saying "it'll never work, why waste your time" are laughing on the other side of their faces now. :p

Bullshit.

You can perfectly plan in advance, and if something should interfere then you can always cancel and get a replacement.

At least, I know what times each week I can't play, and the rest of the times I'm most likely able to.

Just my 2cents.

ps. i didn't sign up for the raid

pps. i see a load of high RR people in the list, those people are active and i see/play with most of em every week, they're online (nearly) every day, and i'm damn sure they can just play each sunday.

It is demotivating for those people who post time and time again and don't make the final list, especially those like myself who need a respec stone and can't afford to buy one.

I went on the 3 full group raid with Yussef BEFORE the patch and have offered my Cleric as back up to Yussef on all raids since, however I understand the argument from both sides.

What I don't like is people bragging at how many respec stones they have, but, there is nothing stopping anyone from organising their own raid. I myself have mentioned the idea in guild and have had good interest, its not a monopoly, Yussef has taken the initiative thats all. I will happily take part and help with any dragon raid organised, i get a lot of satisfaction from killing the dragon, the stone would be a bonus.

Hmm, people's moaning needs to ruin everything. How many stones were in circulation before I started organising these raids? How many post 1.62 raids have been done?

Not many I will bet, then all this interest in dragon raiding comes along once I pull it off?

The stones are on the market, if you want them you buy them. If not you can possibly join my raid. If not, you can raid yourself or join another raid.

I've tried raiding with different people, out of 6 attempts, 2 have succeeded. Perhaps I'm using the same people due to that?

People who say they can't lead raids talk bullshit, how do you think I started raiding regularly, with practice. I'm offering an oppurtinity to people, whilst trying to maintain a 100% kill rate. The day I killed it was going to be my final attempt, I honestly thought I couldn't pull it off.

Liste attended one raid to watch how it's done. I'm seriously not trying to fuck anyone over.

It's just the public "sign up" part that annoys ppl, when you after all go with your choosen crew, keep it away from the "public" if it's not public.
As Xeanor said, it's not that hard to plan a week ahead ( so this thread really only servs as buyer/provider list )

Well, I tried in the CG organising one for the week after, but I couldn't so I didn't plan one. I couldn't due to an alliance trying on that day. Things like this require signups, hickups that can effect raid day/times.

I don't force anyone to sign up/read the thread or anything. I clearly post what the rules are beforehand. I will continue to post on BW regarding these raids if I want to. Saves me needing to PM everyone in game.

So explain this then genius. Every raid run so far by Yussef has had at least 4 different people, we have also had a number of people not turn up either because of real life circumstances or for techincal reasons. You may well be able to plan your entire life around DAoC but 90% of us aren't as godlike as you. For that reason alone the hunt is made public, it gives us the chance to fill the 3 groups everytime and also gives a few people a shot at getting on the hunt, that also gives them a good shot at a place on the next hunt. It isn't a closed shop for mates of Yussef but it is a selected few for the reasons Yussef stated above. My advice is run a hunt and then see all the pitfalls, then you will see why having people who know what to is absolutly vital.

Fuck all to stop any of these people starting their own hunt, constantly slagging off Yussef's hunt because you didn't get picked this time if kind of childish.

""All raiders must have Purge + High Heat Resist, preference -may- be made towards those who came last raid as they know what to do more. Can be done without Purge, however I like everyone being able to escape an AOE/PBAOE better.""

As my tactics evolved, the people on those raids were more accustomed on how to perform to the raid environment than others who hadn't been there at that time. I implemented a course of action that I said I very well may do. I did, people moan. What the fuck am I supposed to do? Compromise the success of a raid to please everyone which may result in us dying?

I could run a raid with 23 people who haven't been on one of my raids beforehand. Do you think the handpicked one or the random one will perform better in all honesty?
