It's a serious point. Protest and direct action is being steadily criminalised.

You don't go from fine to fucked in one go. You find your rights steadily eroding - and protest rights are a cornerstone of any supposedly "free" society.

So it's apt. And also particularly in this case as both of you don't care / can't see it.
