Venues for LAN's need careful planning, seriously. Numbers, need to know numbers well in advance... power supply = LAN enemy No.1. Contact a few venues and get prices for a few different numbers (20, 50, 100?) then work out rough costs based on those numbers and spam here?

If we could get a definate number then I could look into holding it at my Uni's student union. Some students wanted to run LAN parties anyway, so I'll see how far they got.

There'd No problems with power. JANET connection for surfing (maybe), Fully stocked bar and I'm sure I could find a spare switch or two. Maybe even some machines to use as servers.
