Nope, hold down the button, you immediately start casting when they get into the 1875 range, they still manage to instamezz. This was with 331 dex and MotA3.

Range should be 2000 or casting time lowered to 2.5s, although it usually doesn't make any difference at all with all these hills in emain.

veeshan was ages ago - before savages and /assist and IMO was only rated so highly because he was THE only sorc around at that time

The magority of mid groups are random pick up ones rarely having more than 2 seers and as for the amount of mid tanks active in rvr rofl i swear i see more bds/thanes than i did savages/zerks/warriors in rvr on pryd

Hehe. Why you think I joined the dark-side (Hibernia in this case) for abit? 'They' all tell me how easy it is for Albs, with superior CC, plate-armour, spec-AF, BOF, SOS etc etc. 1850 mezz owning all.


Just odd that I find RvR with my Hibernia character alot more rewarding at the moment.

Speed 5 + sprint (=speed6) and insta-mezz is just a very good tool to win the initial CC-war. 2x grouppurge and BAOD make sure CC isn't likely to stop a Hib-group.

Surely we get kicked every now and then 1-on-1, especially PE hurts. But Mid/Pryd is just not as good as Mid/Excal when it comes to exploiting tank-groups with savages etc. You see them ofcourse, but you also see alot of 'random/balanced' groups.

But to come back to your AoE-mezz problem: I dunno if it is/was possible, but what happens if you put AoE-amnesia (bigger range) on them? If you start with that you kick them out of speed right? Then 1850 mezz should have enough range to win of an insta then I think. Tho I agree casting amnesia and mezz will probably fail in such a limited timespan. Unless you see them approaching from clip-range.

Not saying Soruzi doesn't know shit about Sorcerers. But I am saying that someone with 230k RP, not playing his sorc that often at all shouldn't really keep pretending to be all-knowing towards RR5+ sorcs who play their class alot more lately.

Soruzi might know a great deal about DAOC, but Wedge (=Magmatic) plays his sorc still and probably knows just as much if not more about sorcs then Sorusi.

Xeanor, very evil RR6 sorc on Prydwen tells you the same.

In practical RvR there is no timer on insta-CC off a healer. 10 minutes timer. And no problem if it's down, then use insta-stun and put a casted AoE-mezz on it. You bought yourselves enough time to cast it after the insta-stun.

10 minute timer is hardly an issue in real-RvR.
