NEW THINGS AND BUG FIXES

- We fixed a bug where sometimes, in rare cases, guild would be created using the same guild number. This led to problems where guild messages of the day showed messages from other guilds, mis-assignment of guild emblems, etc.



SPELL NOTES

We've taken a long look at Albion's spellcasting classes with an eye towards making them more functional, as well as more fun to play. These changes are now up for testing, please let us know what you think.

Cleric Changes

- The Smite spec Holy Anger line has had its range increased to 1500 and casting time reduced to 3 seconds.

- The Smite baseline stun (Stunning Flash line) has had its range increased to 1350.

Theurgist Changes

- Theurgist elementals can no longer be rooted or mezzed.

- Theurgist Confusing Gust line has had its radius raised to 350.

- Increased range of Theurgist summons to 2000.

Wizard Changes

- Reduced casting time of Burst of Steam line to 2.5 seconds, which matches the Spiritmaster and Enchanter PBAE cast times.

Friar Changes

- Increased duration of all Friar self buffs to 15 minutes.

Sorcerer/Cabalist Changes

- Increased value on L48 self shield Nullify Offense to 250.

Sorcerer Changes

- Sorcerers can now charm any monster type. This should strengthen their Mind spec considerably, and facilitate better charming in dungeons (where many monsters are undead).

- Added Minion Control to the Sorcerer RA list.

- Increased radius of Fog, Blanket and Cloud of Senility to 350.

- Added a power regen buff to Mind spec list so that all three realms have a version of this spell:

5 Comprehension of Power
15 Perception of Power
26 Perspicuity of Power
36 Cognition of Power
46 Lucidity of Power

- Instead of adding more crowd control to any realm, Sorcerers are getting two new ways of dealing with crowd control.

1) Added a self mez-duration reduction buff to Mind Spec.

16 Shield Mind
27 Harden Mind
35 Steel Mind
45 Invulnerable Mind

2) Added group mez-duration reduction chant to Mind Spec.

29 Solidarity of Mind
39 Unity of Mind
49 Brotherhood of the Mind

General Magic Changes

- Increased duration of all self-only buffs that had 10 minute timers to 15 minutes.

- Fixed a delve bug that affected the "cast time" print. Spells with fractional cast times were truncating the fractional component, so spells with 2.5 second cast times (for example) were listed as 2 seconds. Unless noted elsewhere in the patch notes, no cast times actually changed, they just print correctly now. Please note that spells on the Camelot Herald have always included the fractions of a second; it is only the delve print function that is being updated

will be hard for you if you actually have to do something now to win a fight....

And for mids I feel sorry....tbh Mids seems to need the most loving at the moment and the get none in this patch :(

Uberisation? A bit balance, but not at all
Theurgist and Sorcerers have not AoE damage, but all hib/mid mages have some type of AoE damage
Albion have not ranged insta aoe mezz
Theurgist mezz is 1250 range only, not 1500

At least we are more pretty than you, ugly monsters [:)]

so then these pets they "may" be unmezzable but what about when confuse is cast on them? Which did insta kill em b4

and on the note of the sorcerer charm being changed to charm all mob types... doesn't the mentalist charm still need fixes?

o well looks like its all swings and roundabouts to me

Healers need something new, otherwise they are gonna be useless.

i doubt healers can ever be considered useless - afterall they still are the healing class in midgard

Yeah I mean a 26% reduction from a full spec mind sorc (that drops if you stun the sorcerer first you know) is going to kill that class completely.

Oh and it doesn't affect stun - and who gets the instant range 1500 aoe stun? and the castable aoe stuns? lemme think.

As far as the Sorc stuff goes, just how many Sorcs do you ever see in RvR ?

This new stuff is nice if it goes live but I hardly see it as overpowering considering the number of active Sorcs.

Hopefully this will be a much-needed boost to the class so that more people actually roll new Sorcs and bring them to RvR.

Let's face it, everyone whined about being mezzed -and CC took some nerfs- so I'm glad Mythic gave Sorcs a little anti-CC (thank God they didn't give us an insta-mez).

Anyway, this isn't set in stone - I'll believe it when I see it on a live server. Until then I live in hope :)

Least Clerics getting something back for a change, still aint to great for clerics, most ditched smite for other stuff when smite was nerfed.

I'm an armsman too and as of patch 1.54 we get some luvin, sure there is some way to go yet, but giving me 12 more Realm Points to spend is far better than a kick in the bollocks (I am a bloke after all)

Seems a good place to put a development patch on a test server.

just coz its on pendragon dont mean it gonna go live

look at rp for Mezz

cant see that one yet but it did go on the test for a few nanoseconds

There's another thing that noone seems to realise --

By increasing the summon range to 2000, there is effectively, a second nearsighting class in Albion. None of the archers, or bolt-classes can shoot that far.

By being targetted with those annoying elementals you'll be out of combat for the duration of the pet's life, which effectively is another nearsight.

Let's hope Mythic has fixed the 'You are being targetted from the other side of the zone by a mob/person that is in combat-mode and are thus interrupted!' bug. Imagine the fun, being able to do nothing and see the buggers run at you.

nearsight lasts 2 minutes and can't be confused or stunned.

elementals last 20-30 seconds and take 10 seconds to get there.

Erm, aren't all archers ranges 2k+? Excluding nearsighted ones ofc. Besides, how many cabalists do you see casting nearsight at DoT/nuke range? If your targets in range, you rarely NS it, you DoT/nuke it usually :p

dots/nukes are range 1500 :)
nearsight 2300
bows 2100 (some might be different - I'm no archer expert)
pets 2000

Answer: Not enough - they can be an incredibly fun class to play. At the moment, it seems to me that the Sorceror is taking the same amount of disdain that Cabalists used to, until people realised that Matter DoTs HURT

Scout tange: 2000.

I wish I had 2100 range as a hunter. =)

Increased range of pets = they take even longer to get there.

Duration of pets = 30 secs for earth, 20 secs for air ( i think )

And the person who gets it cast on them gets to see a nice EB like effect surrounding them.... so they what? stand there and wait for them to arrive? i think not...

look around, find where the pets are coming from, run the other way, oh hang on... that means pets are still absolutely useless in RvR :S

Or not....

you have a castable 6 sec stun within level 7....AREA!!!
That basicly means with bringing a level 10 healer in your level 50 rvr group you can decide whether you win or loose a fight...

At 50 however, you have instant and castable insane duration area stun AND mess AND insane buffs AND heals AND other cc tools..

Useless my ass :p
