A thread that said nothing to start with, then turned into a funny photoshop thread, self contained, which as many people found funny as didn't got locked because one of the very few people who didn't like it is a mod?

Where does a pic of an owl with a caption offend the CoC?

What has happened here in the last couple of weeks?

Well maybe if the users of this forum each make up a seperate set of rules that states what they find funny and what they don't it will make things a lot easier for all of us in the end.

It was funny maybe the first time, then it just sucked. Perhaps I'm spoiled by clever photoshops from somethingawful, but image macros are pretty old hat, especially when they are as plain as an owl with some leet speak badly pasted on top.

My reaction to the actual owl pics is really one of indifference. I found some of them funny, I particularly liked the owl in a plane, and The internet is serious business one, others left me cold.

What I don't understand is why it was locked.

It would have sunk away in a day or two as these things do anyway.

Why is there suddenly Nazi moderation cropping up in an otherwise generally free flowing forum.

FH is not really about anything in particular, that thread especially started off as nonsense, so I can't see the problem with it dissolving into a stream of nonsense, with pictures of owls, or any other avians.

Once again, what part of the CoC did it offend?

I really didnt find the pics funny after Dommers decided to post everyone he could find for no reason.

However I dont see why the thread was closed, shit as it was, at least it was only in one place.

I do however agree that clown should judge what pics other people are allowed to post.

There is nothing in the CoC to say I can't post a picture of my dead gran every single fucking time I make a post, but I daresay I might get a mod PM'ing me and saying "please could you stop inserting pictures of your dead gran".

You also state something about it being only in one thread, but I think you'll find that it's also in the thread called "Russian Women" and perhaps others that you and I don't know about it.

It's annoying, people have complained (including me), a mod made a decision and kindly asked for the constant pictures to stop. Do you see that as unreasonable? I didn't think so.

Though i kinda see what you're saying there i wouldn't call it spam, it was replys through art! Personally i didn't really care about the owls, i didn't look at them and yell "OH GOD NO AN OWL" it's an owl.. so what. Even if it's not funny, i'm not going to complain.

If you didn't like the pictures then don't look at the thread.

If you didn't like them appearing in other threads then complain about it then. Getting the original thread locked was counter productive.
