The guy that was in the bed attended by the nurse, that Xavier showed his class earlier in the film: He woke up, and in Patrick Stewart's voice said "Moira" (the name of the nurse), and she turned round with a shocked look on her face and said "Charles?".

The intimation being that Xavier somehow transferred his consciousness into the vegetative patient shown earlier in the film, before Jean killed him.

As for me, I loved it. Thought it was an excellent end to the Trilogy.

And thank fuck I didn't see it after some of the posts in this thread, which would have ruined it for me totally.

Same thing here was awsome imo the effects were superb especially when Megneto led the assault on the island.. :)

My only dissapointment was the film could have easily churned out another hour there were so many mutants you just wanted to see what each of them could do. Also at the beginning it would have been nice for them to show how Xavier/Magneto became to be enemies sort of.. although they were still friends which is weird :)

I felt really sorry for Mystique but the film had shocks galore in it imo i never expected any of what happened to some characters to happen i was sat there thinking ''wtf just happened''.

I really enjoyed it :) Stayed to the end of the credits with a couple of other people, all of which were muttering under their breath, "There better be something or I'm going to feel really silly"

Best bit about staying to the end of the credits was getting to see 4 chavs being forced to sweep up all the popcorn they'd been throwing at random people throughout the showing.

Also saw about 15 kids chucked out about 20 mins into the film for being twats. Good on the cinema staff, they could have easily just ignored it :)

At the cinema in Nottingham anyone causing disturbances is thrown out straight away the cinema staff come in with 3-4 bouncers that they have standing around for security, and imo its about fucking time.. 3 months ago i lamped someone around the head for talking on his mobile.. after about 3-4 people asking him nicely he wouldn't turn it off and was just being pig ignorant.

Me being me i was pissed off and walked down asked him to turn it off and he said in 5mins.. steam was coming out of my ears and i punched him 3-4 times in the face before telling him to switch the fucker off.

Police came ofc but i was let off with a warning.

I can't stand anyone on mobiles/pissing around when a film is on.. and i won't hesitate to confront them and tell them nicely to keep it down if they continue i'll go get the cinema staff and they will be ejected from the building faster then they can get up.

I hate that. My gf does that. Also she wants to know exactly who is who, what the relations between the chars are, what happens to who and why and what the background story is. My telling her to find answers by watching the movie tends to be met by instant frigidness :/

All of my previous girlfriends enjoyed giving me this special torture to :)

Thank God my new girlfriend can sit through a film and leave any questions she may have to the end. By which time 99% have been answered from watching the film :)

Talking about the bit after the credits.
The fact that the nurse said "Charles". I wonder if Xavier put his mind into a vegatable bloke, but Jean, being a bit evil now, put hers into the nurse when Wolverine killed her. Unless the vegatableised man was also called Charles. I can't remember.

Whipped:

Xavier knew the nurse personally, as I think she worked with him previously on his own physical rehab. But it was clearly meant to be Xavier who had taken over Vege-Man's mind/body though.

Aye that bit was brilliant :)

They were still full of respect for each other, and still on some level cared about one another, the only thing dividing them being their ideology on how to cope with man's inhumanity to (mutated) man. One by force (Magneto), the other through diplomacy (Xavier).

IMO they never actually became enemies as such, as you would classically think of enemies (IE two people or groups of people who literally hate and want to kill one another), rather just proponents of opposing viewpoints.

Surely Xavier's 'powers' were the result of mutated brain matter. If he was to successfully transfer his consciousness to a human would this not render his ability defunct? I.e. He shouldn't have been able to telepathically talk to the nurse. Assuming that it's not something that can simply be learned.

I don't think he was talking via telepathy, just the old fashioned way. And yes, he should no longer be psychic/telepathic. At least he's alive.

Then how do you explain the fact that he retained his actual, real scottish voice?

What does happen after the credits? I cba returning to the cinema just to find out :x

The Phoenix entity can alter reality, which may have been what was happening in the film when Jean was 'killing' people (they dispersed into bubbles).

Regardless ...was a good movie ..

Its sad in a way ..

Matrix is over
Lord of the Rings is over
Star Wars is over
X-men is over

All we have left is maybe another resident evil or a new underworld and maybe the nightwatch things ..but other than that ! Have I missed anything ?

He ain't scottish :p

Either way, it was just a device to let the audience think he may still be alive, as it would take much longer to intimate the fact otherwise.

Not strictly true, in a recent Interview Hugh Jackman did mention he had signed up for a Wolverine Movie and I think there is going to be a Magneto one as well... :)

I would like to see a Colosuss (sp?) movie also with maybe Kitty and introduce Gambit and a few others, kind of like a XMEN but support type thing.

Still got Pirates of The Caribbean 2 & 3 to come. Trailer for 2 looks v. good.

Still got Spidey 3 - with added Venom (probably). After that...not many big franchises I can think of; there's the above-mentioned Wolverine & Magneto movies, but they're a long way off, as is the last Bourne film. There's Casino Royale coming up as well I suppose; can't get a bigger franchise than that!

OMG the Magneto movie is based on him getting revenge on the nazis for taking away his family.. thats going to be fun.. and he meets Charles in the film for the first time also hm i love prequels :) I think Ian was the best actor of X3 possibly all 3 films actually he just played Magneto so well imo.

And i'll spare myself the pain of another Nightwatch movie.. it was fucking awful russian subtitles lame fucking story just didn't do it for me and my gf who i invited round to watch it as we like anything supernatural at the end i honestly said ''thats the worst movie ive seen ever'' took it back to tesco the next day for a refund.

Glad to see I was not the only one! I watched it and was just so bored I just had it playing while I searched the web... bored to tears :(

On another note, Star Wars TV Series is due out... not sure when... ;)

It was awful.. Underworld shit all over this from a great height and UW2 was great.

Read a few amazon reviews and everyone was raving about how good Nightwatch was.. though oh it sounds excellent..i just hope the next one doesn't make into cinemas.
