Wizard question

is 10% spell range a must?

im finally going to try and toa ze wiz, but looks like im needing Erinys and Jacinas to get that +10%.

problem is.. was hoping to get Atlantis Tablet instead of Erinys for the spell pierce and shapechange. any other decent items with + spell range on that i could use?

Atlantis tablet rocks, i had on my wizard with gov so 9% total, bolt range was ridiculous so yes go for it.I think the only other items with range bonus is ml10 items?(and staff of god?)

Well, GoV or Nailah's have 4% range which gives you 9% and thats close enough imo.

Or there's bracer of Zo'akart, the ML10 cloth legs (iirc) and phoebus's harp...

AT has no spell range on it Dan! More DAoC less WoW!

On topic, 4% range is enough, but 9% is great if you can be bothered to get a group together to help you do Erinys.

First of all, you didn't give your spec but I'm guessing fire since that is the fotm now. Spell range is the only thing you've got going for yourself compared to enemy casters. You will not cast faster. You will not debuff or cast instants. You will not nuke considerably harder. Therefore, the only thing that you can do that they can't is to use range - with bolts of course.

So my question is yes, you want 10%.

and i guess ill add a torrent ring in temp for the extra 2% range.

Ring of Torrent has 2% casting speed.

remember playing him in Molvik when it was active... most fun char id ever played ^^ solo all the time.. could kill most things with him inc bd's/assassins etc

Err does cloudsong have range or something? Have 10% range on my theurg and don't use erinys Not in game atm and don't have my template any more to check.

Anyway yes I'd say range is important, the differance between 9% and 10% is not worth it though.

Yeah yeah i forgot, it was jacina's sash that gave me 9%, go for tablet+jacina's+gov or something, 10% piercing is well worth it.

yes spell range is a must imho that extra 10% range might give you more time to do that last DD on a runing enemy. Bolts aswell
