Winning Eleven 6

Been playing this for a while and I feel that I need to update the teams to their current rosters, e.g. stick Beckham in Real Madrid, Hierro to Al Rayyan etc.

So does anyone know how the hell i can do this? I've looked around and all I've found that i can edit is everything but what team they're in.

Sorry I have no idea I'm a Pro Evolution 3 man myself. And I only ever play that multiplayer as no games team-mate AI seems clever enough to go where they should at any given time it seems. Neither FIFA or PE seem to be clever enough.

Not tried Winning Eleven though, is it any good?


For Pro Evolution Soccer 3, there is a cd that you could buy to update all the stats and gave it all correct names and things. Perhaps there is something similar for Winning XI? or an updated data file by a 3rd party somewhere?

Now we're in my field There are 2 ways you can go about it. 1 is to get an Xport and download some of the option files available (xport lets you interface PC and PS2 to copy files to memory card), and the other is to make a patched copy of your game. Every version of WE (excluding the american two and the Japanese WE7:International) comes on cd, you can rip to HD, patch then burn and provided you have a chip or a flip lid/swap disc combo and play away.

Some of the patches are fantastic, but not many were made for WE6, most were made for WE6FE. I think there is a Brasileiro league one and possibly an Italian one, but it's been a while so have a look.

I'd suggest the forums at evo-web.co.uk (I'll keep an eye out for you there), pesfan.com and issextreme.com to ask about it, although pesfan are none too keen on WE or patching talk. Showusmiracle.com deserves a shout too. If you do patch it, make sure you move/delete your old option file, or it'll load old names/kits.

Jonaldo, the WE games tend to beat the PES games each time, KCET tend to speed it up and focus more on attacking play for Europe (PES and WE being made by the same dev house if you weren't aware). The current version, WE7I (Japanese, not american, the american one is the same as PES3), is the best so far, brilliantly balanced and some great patches on the way.
