I group as a stealther becuase I enjoy playing with my brother. I'm pretty sure I would suck solo though as I constantly take 250-300 mh damage from Infs and NS's while hitting them back for 80-120 mh damage Guess I need to sort out a template, but I'm skint and can't be annoyed farming....

On the flip side. I get rolled at least 5 times a night by full groups but never come running here to make posts about why people run in 8 man groups

what i dont get about the not neccesarily 2vs1 (becuase that can be fun), is the 4-8vs1, unless you are some sort sadist i cant really be fun to zerg like that, and i play for fun, and i dont get why some ppl insist on ruining other peoples fun (unless they have fun doing it)...

grouping up is the same, no matter if you are stealthers or not..

Full groups just seem to group up these days to steamroll every solo/duo out there, becuase there is surely not any FGvsFG fights taking place...

i just started running with my hunter(sub rr3) a bit in rvr, i can easily go in a duo and on some rare occations a trio.

why?.
Because if a assasin jump me, i die. im glad if i take off 30% of their hits. only thing i can beat is solo casters, scouts at the moment... and how often do you see them?.

i suppose its not supposed to be easy at low rr, but ive had some nights ive runned around for 3-4 hours and gotten a shitty 1k rps. its boring to get jumped then type /rel over and over and over AND over again.

And ofc i duo for the company, i find the game alot more fun when running around with a friend, even if we still die like flies xD

Us playing mostly visible classes, are a bit pissed or confused on one thing; i dont think I've ever gotten jumped by a stealther duo when beeing in a visible duo. Same goes for trio and more. Still all stealthers claim they love to jump small groups when they themselves are in small groups.

I guess the question is what chars are you playing in your small groups.

I'll jump 2 visibles almost every time if i'm grouped with another stealther. If your playing a pachealer and warlock duo (for example) you might find people somewhat more hesitant tho.

At low RR, it's a necessity for survival, because everyone needs to make RPs at the end of the day to progress in the game and get more abilities. Perhaps people would group less if the game gave RPs for "effort".

The downside to this is that fights against inferior numbers are pretty much a guaranteed win, and what is the point in having continual fights where you know you are going to win? With no challenge you get boredom, hence why most high RR toons are shelved because there isn't a challenge any more.

I like soloing simply because you don't have to rely on anyone except yourself. There is no waiting around, if you lose a fight it is your fault, if you win a fight, there is a feel-good factor, especially if it goes right to the line. I like fighting all other stealthers, and many visibles, and the life of the solo stealther can be rewarding (but also soul destroying at times). But the game was meant to be played with friends, so grouping is all part of that, and playing in a group of 8 is also a great thrill in itself when you encounter same numbered enemy.

So each to their own. I only wish they would get rid of /assist, grapple and ML9 pets, but that's another story :>

Totally agree with you their. Ofc things get a tad easier as you climb the ladder of RR dings, you can do more dmg and survive longer than you did before.

But i find as i have got high rr i try not to use items/ra's/ml's as much. It just gets boring when in a fight you can expect the same outcome everytime because you dump on someone. I just find that dull so i try not to do it. I'll usually use things to counter what other people have used, but other than that i hardly ever use anything.

What i don't understand sometimes is people, that go out dump in a 1v1 fight then hide away for 15 minutes, because their affraid to have a fight with some of their timers down. Doesn't it get dull for the people that do that.

Sometimes i'll have a fight with someone and not use anything, and see how good i can play, even though i might lose sometimes, it brings some fun back into the game, knowing that you still have challenges ahead, and not thinking you can win everyfight as you have the abilities to do so.

Iam always soloing, even when i was rr1 on my stealthers, its hard against stealth groups or passing by full groups/adds etc, but this is the rvr i like the most, using all my skills/tactics to win (or loose) in a fight that last longer then a few seconds. Soloing is a challenge, grouping, zerging or adding is nothing more then brainless rp farming ( atleast if they attack soloers).

i won fights not using ra - i lost fights not using ra it was still boring ...

I got steam rolled by so many fgs i lost count why trying to solo but hey thats the game im not gonna whine about it cause i will just do the same back to them when im grped with my pals - wats comes around goes around ...

Do yourself a favor and get some sort of teamspeak get some guildies on there - grp up and go and kill and have fun ...

People hate me - People hate the way i play with 3-4 stealthers grped but we do have a laugh and it beats playing any char solo ...

I made me inf to be a solo sneaky t00n but i get me arse whooped everytime a poke me nose outside the keep.
But as rr2 i cant do much, kind of trying to sneak after casters if i make it that far that is be4 some hungry rr5+ stealther finds me and eat me for dinner.
