Who were you before you played DAOC?

I played Legend of Mir for a couple of years (1st MMORPG, DAoC is my 2nd) under the same username, and yes before the jokes start it did feel like a waste of time and the service was pants (probably why i've never jumped on the 'I hate GOA' bandwagon )

i was known as sonic-vzd in d2 and beeing a swede i was one of few that could play a necro specced for max skellies ^^

Then moved to Legend of Mir (prounounced - Shite), with a couple of the guys i used to play quake with for something to do, where i had a warrior called Eazy in TiC, HG, TU and TF. Left Mir due to being incredibly fucked off with the wankers who shared the server (so many cheats and con-artists). Tried DAoC in beta, kinda liked it, but didnt go back until a couple of months after retail, and have been here since

First game I ever played online was Starcraft, never seriously though - then Half-Life came along. I was known mostly as a TFC player and played for numerous international-level clans (~A~ TA SHS etc) before becoming the England captain for a period, then starting to play DAoC and gradually weaning myself off RPGs and onto diminishing return statistics... eugh, doesn't sound good now that I think about it.

Also played UO for a while too, although I never really took it seriously and just had a laugh with a few mates - had a tank mage called Res on europa, sold him eventually just after Trammel came online because, well, it sucked.

1996 -1999 i was Rogue / Cobra on a mmorpg called Meridian 59, was a very good game , game was made by 3DO, poor old server could only hold max of 130ish players, it's actually been re released check it out http://meridian59.neardeathstudios.com/


when i found out it had been release, all old memories came back so i went there to have a look, and omg, there was 4 ppl there i used to play with all them years ago, was nice to catch up with them.

after M59 i went onto everquest, karana server, got to lvl 40 ish scout, then me and girlfreind broke up and she kept my puter so was gameless until i bought a new one, tried to get back into everquest , couldn't , so came here to daoc, now got 9 lvl 50's over 3 acct's and a very understanding new girlfreind ,
also had 3 month's on EvE, liked it at 1st but then got bored very quick, anyone want a battleship?

First game I ever played was TFC, played for [MAI] under the name BLokKA for a while before packing TFC in to go play CS - hated it, came back and joined up with [DSH] under same nick. Gave up on TFC altogether when 1.5 was released, took up UT.

Played UT for clans called [BEER] and [GoC] - [BEER] wasn't really a hardcore serious clan, just a fun one - [GoC] I had most enjoyment with under the name WhipZ & Whippy.

Played Q3 alongside UT for the same amount of time, never really interested in the clan scene to be honest, played loads of different mods for loads of different clans; favourites being ^DOA^ (US/UK RA3 Clan) as kafinated & [SF] (TDM) under dead*star.

Packed in UT altogether when I started DAOC as SI was released and still play Q3 now and again. I've become less active in DAoC due to UT2004 release, now playing with [BEER] again.

was a Rogue, progressing from newbie to Guild Leader and a Machiavellian councillor on a MUD. Latterly ended up coding and adminning on it.

Was also a Tank pilot in a few online battletech MUXes (rather ironically I led an arthurian themed mercenary faction called the "Avalon Guard", who would have known).

Later I became a heavy defence type for a Tribes 2 clan.. Brutal Deluxe Scores!
