Had a really good night of RvR last night, many many solo fights, and a few braveheart type charge/zergs and everything in between - good fun :>

EXCEPT I just cannot kill Ciuci (sp?) high RR Nightshade :> Something like 6 fights, and 6 losses to me - damn you! :>

I played pretty well most fights, only having SoM down occasionally, I didn't have PH up at all (only really use it on tanks or stealther "groups"). I run with AF up all the time, and used heat weaps, dropped Poisonspike, purged when I got stunned or debuffed pretty badly, but Remedy in the hands of high RR NS's is simply devastating. Bring on 1.82! :>

Anyway, this isn't a whine about Remedy, what I would like to know is who Nightshades fear (be it a visible or stealther), any particular class they don't like, and who Stealther wise seems to win more against them than lose?

I'm not going to change my spec to fight NS's - as I imagine a very high MoP/AugStr/AugCon/Toughness template would help, as my SB is more aimed at a "any class" killer, and I want to eventually have viper3 one day, but would be interesting to see tactics or find out who nightshades fear :>

Whenever I see Lurikeen Thunderer or Gilded Spear come into my stealth zone, I automatically think "Uh-oh" :>

Well I suppose slash Nightshades perform excellent against shadowblades, and your precious 6 resists dont help versus them slashers ;)

To answer your question, for me as pierce NS :

* Warlock
* Bonedancer
* Spiritmaster
* Berserkers (hammer spec)
* Savages
* Warriors
* Thanes (next patch)

from Midgard. Quite a list isnt it? :O

So Kagato and Warlocks are feared visible side of things, and more classes?

Also, who Shadowblade/Infil and Scout/Hunter-wise come into a Nightshades stealther circle and makes them go "Uh-oh"? :>

I imagine at RR10 Shadowblades have enough points to do a nice high CS/LA spec that will help with NS fights, so do people like Paradoxx/Jox/Eeny(rr9?) make Nightshades tremble? Elajt/SSt/Papasan/Lxn?

Who don't you like to fight?

And Calaw, you are one tough Ranger :> I keep thinking you are an NS though and use heaters on you doh :p Top fights last night, you killed me far too easily several times :>

Yeah - if only I could buff up my slash resistance dammit! :>
Hmmmm. Slash NS's give up a stun though don't they? Wondering whether fighting a slash NS using CS styles is the way to go as oppoesed to LA styles. They're tough cookies!

Looking at your list, I don't think I'd like to face those casters either :> One of my zerker guildees yesterday was complaining about some high RR NS taking him out very quickly (I think it was Ciuci again o_O), so I imagine as long as the NS gets the jump, I imagine they cause trouble :>

i think the real question is........ what do I fear in rvr? mm only illus, unless i let you live <3 wls are the only big pain id say in rvr atm, moc can take down pretty much every class, sometimes u can get the wl, somtimes u cant. Light tanks with every bl up are very hard to kill aswell.

Sorry dude but u became to obssesed with "i cant win vs nightshades cause of their remedy"

As for fear hmm nothing beside high rr BD's (pd4-pd5) and Necros above rr3 :(

Have to admit, of all the stealthers I find Nightshades the most difficult to fight myself. Back in OF they were the easiest :( but this is probably a throw back to no longer using crush poles.

I imagine this will change next patch when SB's get that silly crush damage ability, they will probably become more difficult for me personally.

Will the Remedy in 1.82 work against LGW weapon debuffs still?

remedy will only block weapon-applied poisons, no procs anymore.

would guess that a NS fears a Merc that got DT up... but which melee doesn't ? ;)

btw, wtb guide to beat Remedied NS!

for me, i have to say in the stealth wars i fear SBs most. when i say SBs, im talking the higher RR soloing type. tbh, this is most likely due to them having the hardest time, they mostly seem to know all the tricks, and are excellent with their timing, and using of abilities (remember im a pierce shade not blades). the other SBs (grouping type/lower RR/less kitted out) are usually fodder, as are the 2 archer classses 90% of the time if they are solo. infiltrators seem to have the best ability to wtfpwn me if im not paying attention or underestimate one. Elajt in particular i noticed last night is ALOT more dangerous than she was a couple of weeks ago. so whatever she's done with her spec/temp/RAs, i suggest other infils investigate.

on the visible side i fear polearmsmen, crush mercs, and pretty much EVERYTHING that can cast shit at me. but tbh that fear of casters should be there, as after all if you fuck up, they _should_ be able to nuke the shit outta you...although ofc, ml9 templars and MoC3 just isnt funny.

Nightshade Ciuci Thunderer

Ciuci, I will keep trying and trying to kill you, I won't actively avoid a fight, it's just so damn hard to kill you :> I think I even SL'd, got a PA+CD in and still ate grass :) Are there any SB's or Infil's that kill you or ones that give you a good run for your money?

Also - what is best to use against an NS - battler charge or malice charge?

both work as they would on any other class. remedy doesnt affect battler as its not a weapon based effect (in so much as its not a proc of any sort)

Illu next patch the balance of power in the assassin world shifts drastically. If your quick, clever, the Shadowblade will eat a nightshade alive. Flat blades for crush dmg and watch them crumble. You'll still need a solid template to hold your own but things will be better off, land your 2 handed perf, and most shades will just sit down, being 60% dead already.

Your a solid blade from what I saw of your in frontiers, with the love the sb's get Assassin vs Assassin, we once again stand near the top... now only if we had 400 something etc spec points to play with.!

best advice is, if you stealth past a NS ... keep going away and come back a minute later.

Cos they can't win solo if you've got all abilities up.
