Whine of the Season

Mkay its time to hold a Whine of the Season <Summer Season> Contest. Any DaoC Europe related whines are wellcome and will be judged by <sound of drumsssss> Surprise ---> Meh:

The template should be as follows : You post the quote of the whine and comment/followup. Then the date of the post. I'll analyse this on Friday... if i can wait that long, but it all depends on how pop this thing is going to turn out.

Ivan i've just about had enuf of stupid lame ppl like u posting lamo negative post's like this theres enuf whineing on these boards already with out u making out that its like a great thing for ppl to whine but it just makes ppl feel bad and theres never like any idea how to do it better just whine whine whine and anywa your a stupid alb like how fair can it be to have this judged by an alb???!!???? OMG I'm sooooo gimped

I vote for this whine.
First off its terrible hard to read with no interpunctation (sp?). And using "u", "ppl" and "enuf" just makes a post harder to read. Whining on someone in public because he posts lame posts in one's opinion is just pure waste of bandwidth.

Nah im trying to refrain from getting into personal conflicts with mental people, i mean mentalists.... they usually hurt....... in PvP errm.

My deepest apologies, Ivan, if I caused any offence. I never for one moment imagined that that outrageous post would be taken seriously! It was intended as pure mockery of the many illiterate and unpleasant whines I see on this forum. (Also as a bit of playful self-reference: the whine and its responses in the thread can be read both as content and as quoted material for my competition entry, and on another level it's a perfect example of exactly what it itself is railing against )

In addition to the defects in logic and orthography so astutely observed by Octanion, note that:

- It contains a completely unwarranted and unprovoked personal attack
- It offers no constructive input whatsoever
- In every single place where there might or might not be an apostrophe, the wrong choice is made
- It uses vague, meaningless pejoratives such as "lamo" and "gimp"
- It finishes with a classic unsubstantiated whine

I put quite a lot of work into writing it, so in a way I'm flattered that I matched the style well enough that people were taken in, but what a commentary on this forum that something so awful could be taken totally at face value by everyone who read it!

[For the record, mentalists aren't at all gimped. While they may not be the fastest brain-free route to level 50 RR2, they are the most entertaining class to play on Hibernia. (IMHO ) ]

Kudos, Ivan, for doing your bit for the campaign against destructive, negative whining. I humbly submit my post as my competition entry, and I really, really hope you don't come across anything worse.
